ROUND ONE:
TEN LEAGUES:
Leagues 1 through 8 are made up of the sixteen original franchises that have been playing since 1901. League 9 is made up of teams that played between 1885 to 1900, while League 10 is made up of all of the expansion teams that have come into play since 1961.
If you want to play one of the teams in Leagues 1 through 8, just tell me which franchise and pick one of the seasons that are listed below it. The season you pick can come from any of the four groups that you see. This season will be your first pick in the “season draft.” Once your league is full of sign-ups, you and the others that also selected that franchise will begin a draft in “thejuice6’s Theme League Draft Forum” for the other three seasons that will comprise your roster. You must have one team from each of the four groups and, when building your roster, you must select a minimum of six players (except for League 9 - see below) from each of the four seasons you picked. Your entire roster will be made up of players who played on those four seasons for that franchise.
The “season draft” for each league will begin with Round Two (obviously, since you’ll already have your first pick). The last person to sign up for that league will begin with the first pick in Round Two and the order will snake back to the person who signed up first. The Third Round will run the same direction as Round Two and then Round Four will start with whoever signed up first and run through the last owner who signed up (the opposite of Rounds 2 and 3). Alignment will be the order in which owners signed up for each franchise.
League 9 will not be divided into any A.L. vs. N.L. or A.A. match-ups; nor, will it be split up into franchises. We’re simply going to have 24 owners sign up and select one of the 72 teams that are listed. Each owner in this league will have three teams to make up their roster with and must have a minimum of eight players from each of those three teams. Rounds 2 and 3 will run just like Rounds 2 and 3 in Leagues 1 through 8. Alignment will be the order in which owners signed up.
League 10 runs like Leagues 1 through 8, though it’s a bit different looking. If you want the Diamondbacks, Rockies, Marlins or Padres, there’s only one available of each and your seasons are already picked for you; plus, you will definitely be placed in the N.L. West of League 10. There are three Mets, three Astros and two Expos/Nationals squads available and they will comprise the N.L. East and N.L. Central as far as placement goes. The alignment for those eight teams will be the order in which owners signed up for them.
The A.L. side will work similarly. There are two Angel’s squads, one Rangers and one Ray’s squad that will make up the A.L. West. The Rangers and Rays already have their seasons picked out for them. The Brewers, Royals, Mariners and Blue Jays all have two teams each. The Brewers and Royals will make up the A.L. East while the Mariners and Blue Jays will make up the A.L. Central.
Here are some other items of interest:
NO: Clones – Not In This Round.
NO: Waiver Wire, Trades or A.A.A.
YES: Designated Hitter – YES.
NO: Injuries – They’ll Be Turned Off.
You may use either full or partial players seasons in this round.
CAP –$120
Stadium – You must use the “Home” Stadium of one of your four teams/seasons that make up your roster.
For those so inclined, you can have two teams in any league – one N.L. and one A.L.
Who Moves On?
Once Round ONE is complete, the top 16 teams from each league will automatically earn a berth in Round Two. That’s 160 teams for 192 spots. The final thirty-two teams will come from the best of the other 80 teams across all ten leagues. This will give everyone something to keep playing for, even if your team isn’t very competitive in your division or for the wildcard. You may still be playing for a spot in the next round.
All N.L. East Division winners go into Round Two, League 1.
All N.L. Central Division winners go into Round Two, League 2.
All N.L. West Division winners go into Round Two, League 3.
All A.L. East Division winners go into Round Two, League 4.
All A.L. Central Division winners go into Round Two, League 5.
All A.L. West Division winners go into Round Two, League 6.
All N.L. Wildcard winners go into Round Two, League 7.
All A.L. Wildcard winners to into Round Two, League 8.
That’s 10 teams in each of the Round Two leagues and 80 teams total.
Once we’ve removed the playoff teams above, I’ll then do the following:
The next eight best teams in League 1 will go into Round Two, League 1.
The next eight best teams in League 2 will go into Round Two, League 2.
The next eight best teams in League 3 will go into Round Two, League 3.
The next eight best teams in League 4 will go into Round Two, League 4.
The next eight best teams in League 5 will go into Round Two, League 5.
The next eight best teams in League 6 will go into Round Two, League 6.
The next eight best teams in League 7 will go into Round Two, League 7.
The next eight best teams in League 8 will go into Round Two, League 8.
The next eight best teams in League 9 will be split up between Round Two, Leagues 1 and 4.
The next eight best teams in League 10 will be split up between Round Two, Leagues 5 and 8.
That’s 80 more spots to go along with the 80 already accounted for which makes 160 total. The final 32 spots will be filled by the teams with the best W/L records who are not yet accounted for above. They will be placed in a league by me, based on balance of the league and owner/team situations.
HERE ARE YOUR CHOICES:
