1896 Orioles, please, Juice.

You got 'em Al - thanks bud.

You know, I was just going through the stat pages and there's still all kinds of good teams between 1885 and 1900 available - yes, even with decent pitching.  Matter of fact, I found one that I liked so much, I'm taking a second team:

the 1888 Cincinnati Red Stockings (1431 Quality IP's)

and that does it for me.  Twenty teams in (two in each league)...

Juice: Do you know of an easy way to differentiate between the two NYG teams in 1890? Constantly cross-referencing baseball-reference is a bit of a pain.
7/21/2012 4:53 PM

Yeah, I was just doing the same thing - it is a pain. The best way I figured out is to:

(1) Set the "Team/League/Division" Box to "Player's League";

(2) Set the "Order By" Box to "Team"; then just

(3) Look for the New York Giants. That will (hopefully) leave out the National League New York Giants.

THREE SPOTS TO GO and we can start the League Nine Draft!

Who else likes some old-time baseball? Still PLENTY of great teams to choose from...

1894 Boston Beaneaters
7/21/2012 11:42 PM
1885 St. Louis Browns

Thank you gentlemen - your professionalism knows no bounds...
