There used to be another source, but I haven't found it in my old notes yet...Baseball Encyclopedia used to list all sorts of stats, but they went out of print years ago.

You could always use the draft center to sort out all the A+ Players, then click on their individual stats.

Perhaps someone here knows a better way??? There's likely a handy spreadsheet...

I remember seasons of Ashburn and Douthit were up around 3.20 or 3.30 outfield range? It has been years since I laid eyes on those stats...<br /> <br /> There they also had each season's normalized batting and pitching stats, you could see how watered down the hitting stats of seasons of 1908 and 1968 were, and how 1930 was so hitter friendly. Where the heck was it? I looked in the almanac website, but I don't see it there.

Is there a reason that RRF in the searches wouldn't be sufficient?

Well I'm glad I get in these discussions. I never saw the rrf keys in the draft center. Dopey me...

I don't think they are normalized, but they do give you the ability to find the top numbers at each position.

I entered the following team into an OL that starts tomorrow morning. Went with an all A++ range triples team in Petco. Going for wins with this one not maximizing + plays.

Did you ever try to test this? I would have assumed like most that lower strikeouts provided more opportunities for the plus plays, so I started tinkering with a roster for the Golden Gloves league on that assumption. But reading this now I'm thinking it doesn't matter at all.

I haven't tested this yet.

Here are the final stats for my A++ range team that played in Hilltop. The team finished 94-68 (175+ plays) and won the wild card. Could have won more games but gave up the last series for fatigue management. Lost in 7 in the 2nd round of the playoffs to the eventual WS winners.

Just seeing this thread. My first team back on the sim was an A+++ Defensive team.

I finished 104-58 with 186+ plays and 9- plays. I forgot to capture team data as far as overall ranking, but we had an overall fielding percentage of .981%.

Here was my lineup:

C-1971 Munson (caught 33 of the 48 guys who tried to steal)
1B- 1918 George Burns (10E/29+)
2B- 1933 Hughie Critz (12E/14+)
3B- 2018 Matt Chapman (27E/24+)
SS- 1918 Dave Bancroft (45E/36+)
OF- 2003 Mike Cameron (2E/27+)
OF- 2002 Darin Erstad (0E/26+)
OF- 1973 Billy North (8E/18+)

For my pitchers, I went with LOW BB/9 and medium OAV.
1994 Bret Saberhagen
2001 Greg Maddux
2011 Roy Halladay
2010 Cliff Lee

I mistakenly copied over my indivual stats - but as a team we had 120 quality starts. Cliff Lee threw 32/37, Halladay had 33/40, Saberhagen had 31/43, and Maddux had 24/39.

Halladay set the personal best mark (you can check that out to see his dominance!) and we had a team ERA of 2.93!

I currently have my 2nd team with this make up, but with the idea to grab better hitters.

My 3rd A+ team was just entered into an OL. It’s my favorite team so far based off pre-season make up, but is also the riskiest since I’m running a pitching fatigue test as well. The theory I’m running with is that A+ range reduces pitch counts for teams. With that in mind I’m planning on running this rotation out as a 3 man rotation and will set their auto rest at 70%. I will look at how A+ range and fatigue pair together and have a feeling it’ll be a benefit.
