Good.  Don't forget.   And don't use them at 93% to be "right".    Also, keep in mind that it's not IP but pitches thrown.   You'll be able to check previous season's pitches for the regular season but not ST.   Nonetheless, I think it's safe to assume that they weren't pitching every 5th day in the previous ST.

The four SP:

Carlos Olivares 5 5 3 0 0 0 0 1 0 4 1.46 4.45 8.31 1.87 0.00 135 508 102 3.76

Olivares and Pall are pretty much non-factors as their Stamina decreased.

And, of course, there is the actual fact that perhaps none of them were maximized in S23 as you had a 5 man rotation with a spot starter getting 7 starts.  But this will be better than nothing.

They didn't pitch the previous season ST.  I may have let them throw one game, but I always use my minor leaguers to throw the substantial number of ST innings.  Also, their settings are all the exact same from last season.

The spot starter was there to step in for 5 starts due to an injury and another two probably for fatigue issues.

Why only the 4 and not all 5?  They are all the same pitchers...

Still doesn't mean they were maximized.  I've got plenty of pitchers who throw 3000 pitches per season and, as I said, I give them a full day at 100% before their next start.

Why would it make sense that giving your ace SP 75 spring training innings would not affect his regular season capabilities?  To anybody?

Is anyone willing to throw their in-his-prime(so DUR/STM are the same) ace, on a full pitch count, every time he hits 100% in ST?   Prove me wrong.
75 ST innings would be nearly 5 IP per game.  Translated to regular season, that would be around an 800 IP page.

Sure, that's realistic.  Who wouldn't want their ace to throw 800 IP's a season?

oh wait, Weaver never pitched in ST.  I see.  He was left out of the playoff rotation and therefore skipped ST.

Weaver didn't start any games in ST and he only threw about 180 pitches.   My BL pitchers usually get about 150 in ST.  180 is insignificant.   Why do I know your team better than you?

I have a guy in the playoffs now, who is recovering at the same rate as he was all year. He did not experience a drop off in recovery what so ever.

I will start tracking this on my other team (45 games in)

If I am wrong, I want to know about it, and will share the results gladly right or wrong.
Doesn't mean a thing.   Like most of us, you've left 100% IP on the table.  My guess is virtually no one maximizes innings pitched.

If tec wanted to prove his theory, he'd take his ace in Coop, pitch him every time he hit 100% in ST and the regular season and report back to us.   Bet he doesn't do that.
Seeing that I'm not apt to experiment with a team that is defending back-to-back division titles, I'll pass.  But seeing that you're struggling to hit .500 and are looking at another lost season, perhaps you'll do what you suggest and report back to the group.
Because you're not sure you're right?

Do it in MG after we roll.   Prove me wrong.
So you want me to experiment with a 94 win team?  Again, I'll pass.

Your MG team has seen .500 once in the past 8 years.  You've got nothing to lose.  Prove yourself right.

because I had a newborn the day ST started.  I have no idea what happened in ST, other than the fact that I let my team go and hoped nobody would get hurt.  The last three weeks of my life have been a blur...I don't know when I am awake or not.

Well, do you think I was following your team when your wife was giving birth?   I was just looking at public records.   And, congrats.

I haven't cared about my ST stats until this past 30 minutes. So you actually looked at them before I did. I had assumed the settings carried over from the previous regular season. I forgot I had a 4 man playoff rotation. With that being said, Takahashi will be your man...he's been at 3000 ip a season. I run these guys straight, usually they hit 100 the day before a start.
