I haven't seen bradpark around in a while. Welcome. Although, I'd like to never see Brad Park after he scored the OT winner to knock my 83 Sabres out of the playoffs.

not sure what you mean, but depends on what choice you chose- either have d men at 50 and below or 75 and below.

8/16/2012 11:34 PM
no. that rule is for expansion teams that came in the 90s and 00s. to give them a fighting chance and hopefully some owners would use them.

Are you considering Ottawa an expansion team? If so, sign me up for Ottawa (2b).

I don't start leagues because I want free seasons. I start them so there's more variety to choose from. A lot of themes produce the same old players. Anyway... thanks. I think I may hang in there for a bit longer.

For this exciting edition the following will apply:

Choose a franchise. Your favourite preferably. You may choose any player that played for your franchise during the years 1974-75 to 1992-93. Why? You'll see. No twisting. Each franchise is exclusive.

Here's the rub.

Honestly, I don't think that hockey is any better than it was between 75-93 when the league honored it's heroes and innovators and tradition naming divisions like Adams, Norris, and conferences like Campbell and Wales. Now, the game, much like the players has become stale, generic, and without much character.

So, this league will pay homage to tradition.

CHOICE #1: Choose a franchise from the Adams, Patrick, Norris, and Smythe divisions. Draft only players that played for your franchise between 74/75 and 92/93 (the last year these names were used and Bettman started to ruin the sport).

Rules - All players drafted MUST have a SH% of 15 or higher. All defensemen MUST have a D rating of 50 or below. All goalies MUST have a SA% of 88 or below.

CHOICE #2: Honor the Bailey and Bavis divisions. How?

a. Choose a franchise that has been in existence since the beginning - basically any team in the league up till 92/93. Draft players that played for your franchise between 93/94 to present day. NO SH% restriction. NO SA% restriction. Only restriction is that all D Men must have a D rating of 75 or below.

b. Choose an expansion franchise (ie, Sharks, Lightning, etc.) and draft any player that played for that franchise. No twisting. AND... NO restrictions. Yes, you can have a D Man with 90 plus rating if you wish.

That's it! No WW; No trades; Inj at 4; No PI; No Clones; No ML.

100M Cap.

I'll take the Patrick Division Pens. Thanks! Chiefpvc74
