The sim cleared my bench outside of my settings AND put Rodman at PG when I have 4 guys there on the depth chart, wtf??????

I'm not sure how much longer I plan to pi$$ away good money if they have crap like this and the 3pt glitch, there is NO EXCUSE, no outlier, nothing whatsoever that can justify the sim putting Rodman at PG, EVER!!!

What is the usage of the other teams starters and the Defence of your starters? Is the sim trying to match your best defender against their top point producers?

smiley, I don't think the sim is that smart to think for you what the best defense would be and match players up accordingly, especially when you haven't directed it to do that.

After all, you can check the positions Rodman (or whoever) can guard in the coaches menu under defensive strategy. He doesn't have to be playing PG to guard PG if that's what you wanted him to do (though I'm guessing you didn't).

Yea, thanks bistiza, I agree that you can have say Lebron in at PF on offense and he is guarding the PG on defense or vice-versa. Putting players on other players on D is one thing, but putting Rodman and his 70% eff rating at PG on offense is simply insane, and no I did not have Rodman checked to play D at the PG position.

the sim is supposed to match the best defender to the best offensive player for any position you have allowed in the defensive match-ups table in the coaches settings menu area

but that has nothing to do with Rodman playing PG on offense - there are two side by side positional tables

The reason I asked about defence is that I've had the sim switch my lineup on D, and then forget to switch it back on O.

I dont think it works that way, I think one is completely separate from the other - that's why you can see the tables side by side
