caesari, help me come up with an interesting Army/Navy bet, something that doesn't involve money but is more important, and I'll embarrass you right here in the forums! (LOL)

Ooh! Okay. Sitemail me and we will discuss it.

Army and Navy both lost.  I wonder if Coast Guard won?

41-40. How do we manage to score 40 and still get the L?

Today's final Stoney Brook 23 Army 3.

Stoney Who???? LMAO Aren't they D3?

Army 0-4.

Gotta love Army football. They were relevant in what the 1930's?

Stoney Brook is a powerhouse.
In LACROSSE!

Obviously you guys weren't watching the same game I was.

Didn't you know I was talking sprint football?

Kent State 31 Army 17.

Looks like this thread should be turned into the Official Navy Football Thread. Army just plain sucks. 1-5.

BC how dare you!!

Right now Navy leads in the Commanders Trophy race. By virtue of their win over Air Force.

Jake, wait till next year!! LMAO

Honestly, I'd rather be 1-11 with a win over Navy than 11-1 with a loss to Navy.

Many other Army fans would say that as well.

HERE'S TO 2-10!!!

idk,it just seems like with only having one solid goal and not even reaching that for the longest time that maybe the goals should be reevaluated.

It appears as though you are right in that the opinion you have prevails over the whole program.

You can still have the goal of beating your nearest rival but you should also have higher goals. More than to be a door mat and laughing stock. Just my opinion.

I didn't say I don't want to be 12-0, just that beating Navy is the highest goal we have.

Recruiting is so difficult for the academies. Without offering schollies (although you kind of do, since it is paid for) and more importantly, with service time looming over your head after you are done, no one with even a whiff of the NFL wants to go there. The last time an Army player went to the NFL, he was forced to sit out 3 years before he was put in the reserves. By then, the Lions saw he was so rusty that he was a special teams player for a season and then cut.

But Navy has pretty much the same playing field as Army and has done quite well for a number of years now.

The problem appears to be a lack of committment by Army to field a competitive team.

Air Force is consistently competitive also, with a strong bowl history.

USMA:  Over 200 years of tradition, unimpeded by progress.
