Yep.

Peyton was mediocre, but hard to pin that loss on him. This team cannot hold on to the damn football. And after a long, hard-fought game, a mental mistake kills them. It was the Baltimore game all over again.

And I don't know what it is, but every time Welker has been back there to return punts this season, disaster strikes. He fumbled his first return attempt near his own goal line earlier in the season.

Really? Can't pin it on him? Guy was brutal and couldn't make a play 10 yards down the field. All he'd do is throw lobbed out there and wish for PI to be called. Typical Manning choke game. Masked by a brutal muffed fumble to shift blame.

FYI....Both teams fumbled.

150 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT. Manning-esque? No, but I'd hardly call that brutal. The fact that they stuck with the run even after the Pats made it 24-14 and 24-21 had a lot to do with it. Manning carved them up on that game-tying drive.

19 for 36 and 150 yards is brutal.   52% completion and 4.2 per attempt.   Don't try to defend that.

When your opponent takes the wind rather than the ball in OT, he clearly doesn't respect your arm strength, or at least isn't very scared of you.  Tough game for Peyton.

Certainly different than when BB went for it on 4th because he didn't want to give the ball to Manning a few years back.
11/25/2013 9:33 AM
The Patriots defense was loaded up to stop the pass.....they basically said run free to Moreno and guessed correctly that they could win the game under those circumstances......Manning checked plays into runs all night because that is what was there

BB proved himself yet again to be the master thinker of the NFL, but Manning was nowhere near brutal
11/25/2013 10:13 AM
Oh yes he was.

He spent 3 quarters handing the ball off. That was the game plan. They just stuck with it one quarter too long. His INT was rough, but other than that, he was fine. Decker, Thomas and Welker all had key drops. Brady way outplayed Manning, no question. But to say Manning was brutal or to pin this loss on him is ridiculous. Pure trolling, nothing more.

Brady was better than Manning, and the Pats won.  Manning plays like Manning and Denver wins.  At least a large part of the blame goes to him.

Also...4th and 8 or whatever from the Pats 38 in OT? And you punt? Get a first down and there's a great chance you win the game.  They got a net 18 on the punt and the Pats got to the 40 on the next play.  Win the game, dammit.
