Congrats to the Heartland! I'm at least happy we got to scare the hell out of them at the end, but it seems like they're the slightly better conference this season. (RPI's indicate this as well). The Heartland definitely limped to the finish line, but they won the tourney, and that's all that matters.

A small victory for the CVAC was that the unbeaten streaks of St. Marys and Montevallo were ended by Pfieffer and Barton respectively, leaving no undefeated Heartland Challenge teams over the course of the tourney's history. Rockhurst is still winless, losing to Limestone in 3 of the 4 matches. In the CVAC, St. Andrews is still looking for their first Challenge win as well.
Belmont Abbey and Limestone are the only squads that have never lost a CVAC-Heartland Challenge match.
