I'd say once the draft starts, we allow no more than 12 hours per pick.  The last two seasons we seem to get stuck waiting for one pick for days and days.  My suggestion would be that if you can't draft (or proxy) within twelve hours of your turn, you get skipped and you make up the pick as soon as you are able.  Just a thought.

Better yet if you want too long, someone else can get the team. However, it's possible someone can be stuck at work or some other crucial life matter. I hate skipping picks especially in round 1.
