GIANTS WILL VINDICATE BUD!!! CARDS MUST WIN!!! Topic

As far as I can tell, if the Giants and Tigers face off in the World Series, this will be the year where the World Series participants have had the most direct involvement with regards to homefield advantage since the All-Star format changed.

Verlander started for the AL this year and got lit up, taking the loss. Cain started for the NL and got the win. And Melky (though tainted) won the MVP as a Giant. The three players who had arguably the most influence on the outcome of the game would come from the two World Series teams.

Plus, the Giants are trying to keep the wild card Cardinals out of the World Series.  We all know who Bud is rooting for.

Dude was trying to throw a 100 in the AS game, in which he never does in a real game. He's usually 94 early. That's the way he rolls. That might be the dumbest argument why SF will light him up.

That, or that was the worst example of reading comprehension ever.

Either or,.

Ya, I'm not sure where you were going with that mitch. I wasn't saying the AS game is evidence of how the WS will play out. I was stating that the two WS participants (especially the Tigers) can't really say anything about homefield advantage this season when their players had such a big role in determining it.

This post has a rating of , which is below the default threshold.
We all know nobody watches West Coast teams in the WS

Dancing with the Stars will destroy game 7 of the NLCS in the ratings.    MNF will wreck the NLCS.   Hell, Two Broke Girls will get higher ratings.

MONDAY NIGHT RAW RASSLING TOO

You make it sound like it's unusual for a TV show to surpass sports in the ratings. Does MNF finish at the top of the charts every Monday?
10/22/2012 5:59 PM
YES
10/22/2012 7:44 PM
Last Monday:

MNF (Den/SD) (8:30 - 11:51)  5.2
The Voice (8-10)   4.8
2 Broke Girls (9-9:30) 3.4
Revolution (10-11) 3.3
How I Met ... (8-8:30) 3.2
Mike & Molly (9:30-10) 3.0
Dancing W/Stars (8-10) 2.1
Hawaii 5-0 (10-11) 2.1
Partners (8:30-9) 2.1
Castle (10-11) 2.0
Sportscenter (11:51-1) 1.7
MLB Playoffs (SF/St.L game 3) (8-11:13) 1.6

Not a huge surprise if other things beat baseball.  Baseball makes its money by having decent ratings every day, rather than huge single-day ratings.

By the way, MNF is on cable (ESPN).  On Sunday, the evening NBC broadcast did a 7.7.  Then came the Walking Dead at 5.8.  The next 2 best things were the NBC pregame show and the FOX postgame show.
