Yeah, the SEC had about a 15-20-year run as the tops in Smith, though the ACC's always been competitive. A weak Big 12 did help for a while, but really, we've been fortunate to have such a good stretch, as AL is a pretty lousy place to recruit from -- a little too far from the treasure trove surrounding LSU, can't get into Texas or Florida, Kansas thwarts us if we stray too far north, rarely anyone good in Mexico; and in our case, being surrounded by A/A+ LSU, Auburn, UGA, KY, Ole Miss or Miss. St. and Vandy for 20-30 years wasn't optimal either. Not that I'm complaining :)
