League Rules:
  • $110 million cap
  • Seasons: 1969-2012 (1994 omitted)
  • NO: Trades, WW, AAA, clones, or twisting
  • YES: DH, injuries
  • Stadium:  Must have been used by a playoff team from your year.
  • Live play: Limited to next series
  • Divisions aligned by year with dual owners split between leagues.
  • Standard 24 team, 6 division, 8 playoff teams league.

The high cap will make this less competittive, not more. Teams from most of these years could compete at $100 million. Anything much higher than that will make it impossible for the pre-1995 teams.

I think $100 million with a DH would be tough in this theme because essentially your player pool consists of either 4 or 8 teams.  $120 million should still allow you to take all the best players from your year and not have to waste $$$ on the bench.  If some years didn't have many $200k-$300k bench players available I could see just using any players from your year in those price ranges in order to fill a team.

FWIW, I've tried several earlier seasons and would agree 100% with this.  Can't get close to the $120 million without a ton of extra ABs and / or IPs.
