I am guessing this is only for RF/LF?
Bagwell:
1982 Pete Rose has similar ratings at 1B and was a .939, 3 minus plays over 447 innings. Over 1400 inings ( a full season) this would be 25 errors and 9 minus plays. This equates to a D/D-.
Jeter:
2007 Hanley Ramirez had a D range rating at ss and in his performance history made 1 minus play over 317 innings in the OF. I couldn't find a good fielding comp, but an A- in the OF would map to ~.99 and the 2% penalty would put Jeter at .97. This data suggests that your Jeter would make 12 errors and 5 minus plays. I am guessing Jeter would map to a C/D in the cOF
Based on the available data, I'd go with Jeter based on defense only.
