Off-Season Draft
After each season, the league will hold its First Year Player Draft. This draft will also include undrafted players from the previous season, and all players cut from their team after the preceding season.
You may keep up to 25 players each season, including AAA players. If you choose to keep 25 players, you will not receive a pick in the regular draft. You will still participate in the AAA draft that follows the regular draft.
The draft order will be set at Game 120, with the worst record getting the #1 pick, and the best record getting #24. In order to qualify for #1, your team must have won a minimum of 30 games by the 120-game point. Failure to meet this requirement will drop your pick to no better than #4 (in the event that 2 or more teams fail to reach the minimum wins goal).
Available Player List
Once all keeper lists have been turned in, the commissioner has the duty of removing all rostered players from the player pool and providing a list of all available players for that season's draft.
While it is the commissioner's duty to provide said list, it is the duty of each owner to review the list, ensuring that none of his "keepers" are listed as "available".
There will be a time period of no less than four (4) days, between the posting of the Available Players List and the official start of the Draft, in order to give each owner a chance to make sure the list is mistake-free.
Once the draft has officially begun (the first scheduled pick* has been made), the Available Players List is set in stone and cannot be changed.
*Scheduled pick is defined as a pick made during an assigned timeslot.
The commissioner has the responsibility to verify all rosters before scheduling the league for the new season.
The commissioner has the responsibility to verify all keeper lists for accuracy before finalizing the available player list. Any discrepancies should be brought to the attention of the affected owner immediately, so that proper action can be taken.
This could include missing players, forgotten Injured Reserve players, or incorrectly claimed players.
When posting an open team in the classifieds, it is the responsibility of the commissioner to verify the complete roster of that team. This will include checking the roster from the current season, and checking the keeper list from the previous season. This should prevent any players on IR from being overlooked.
