I'd also be willing to help if need be.

What we do in Wooden (in the 4MBCPMBBT) is have an in-conference poll on next season's rankings. Then we post our rankings , wait for the other conference to post their rankings, and match up 1st vs 1st, 2nd vs 2nd, etc. I think it works pretty well.

Also, have we considered just doing top nines instead of having the Sims play too?

Taking top 9 seeds sounds good. Conf voting sounds like fun if everyone is up for it.

And everybody doesn't have to vote. If you can get 3-4 ballots, you can usually get a pretty good picture of who's expected to be the better teams. Your matchups look great this year, but for next year, I'd certainly be willing to tally the GLV ballots if people are up for it.

Seeding for GLV

1. KWC 8 (one first-place vote)
2. SIUE 9 (1)
3. Mercyhurst 12 (2)
4. Lewis 17
5. UWP 18
6. S. Indiana 20
7. N. Kentucky 28
T8. UMSL 34
T8. Bellarmine 34
10. Quincy 40
11. Indianapolis 44
12. St. Joseph's 48

As you can see, the GLV is a lot messier at the top than the GLIAC is, with the most first-place votes going to a team that also got votes for 5th and 6th.

UMSL and Bellarmine both got an identical pair of 8th and 9th votes, so they're tied through every voting-based tiebreaker. However, UMSL did win the head-to-head matchup Sunday night and has a higher current RPI, so in absence of another tiebreaker, I'm inclined to give UMSL the 8th seed, if there are no objections.

The matchups, based on these seedings:

1. KWC at Hillsdale
2. Wayne St at SIUE
3. Mercyhurst at Findlay
4. Lake Superior St at Lewis
5. Wisconsin-Parkside at Saginaw Valley St
6. Northwood at South Indiana
7. Northern Kentucky at Gannon
8. Michigan Tech at Missouri-St. Louis
9. Bellarmine at Ferris St

Consolation games (optional)

10. Grand Valley St at Quincy
11. Indianapolis at N. Michigan
12. Ashland at St. Joseph's

Only two rematches from this year's challenge, where KWC and UWP will try to reverse this year's results against Hillsdale and Saginaw Valley State. Guess there's a lot of movement within the conferences.

Please schedule for spot #10 if at all possible.

The GLIAC managed to retain the coveted toilet bowl for another season 5-2, which is a good thing since HogStench had a late night bean burrito emergency that would have made transporting the toilet extremely dangerous.  As always there were some great matchups and next season looks to be even more intense with the tournament expanding to all 11 human teams from both conferences for the 1st time in toilet bowl history!
