I'm not sure. I guess it depends on how deep your replacements run. The number 1 guys moved to LF/3B. The highest listed RFnot in the game was inserted as did my highest rated 2B not in the game. If my #2 SS had been playing(with the #1 on the bench), I think the #2 SS would have moved IF he had been listed ahead of someone on the field.
I think one will need to tinker with the settings to get it right.
Definitely.
Boxscore
Here I do not have a def replacement listed in the hierarchy at all for SS nor 3B, so in the bottom of the 9th, down 3-1, my 3B is PH for by my LH platoon C
Tyler Kingston, who walks. My CF then hits into a double play, followed by my SS being pinch hit for by a bench player
Will Bottalico (LF), who hits a single. Then another Power Hitting bench player (LF),
David Fujiwara PHs for my P, hits another single, and is then replaced by a PR
Eduardo Posada (2b/CF). The next guy up hits a 2 run double to tie it up.
Then in the top of the 10th, Bottalico stays in the game at SS, and Posada stays in at 3B. Shockingly no damage done by this move in this instance, But I can't for the life of me figure out why Bottalico was chosen over Posada to play SS. Neither are good options obviously, but it would seem that Posada is a much better choice for SS than Bottalico...
I've actually just unchecked the PH boxes next to my SS and 3B to avoid this in the future, but wonder how I'd have to set up the hierarchy to avoid such horrible def at SS and 3B, which imo are the two most critical def spots on the field.
