I also started sometime in early 2006. I still remember that first time recruiting...just throw all the cash at that top ten (in the country) RB and he'll sign. Yea right!

I started playing in December of 2007.  I've gotten frustrated, sick of it, disinterested and just plain mad, and quit two or three times......yet, the SOB's always find a way to get a free season or discounted season to me through email and I come right back.

I remember when I started I was pretty much addicted.  I'd set an alarm to get up in the middle of the night to check on recruiting.  I've mellowed alot, lol.  Now it's just fun.

One thing I don't like is all the sims.  It's more fun to play and recruit against real people.  I think we have too many worlds, but I understand that guys who have made it to DI don't want to lose their programs so shutting a world down is probably not logical....however, taking away the DIII teams in each world would compact the players into DI, IAA and DII and make it much more competitive.  Just a thought.

My first season of GD was season 1 of the Dobie world. Won a conference championship that very first season and thought I was so great at this game that I figured before long I'd be coaching an elite and winning national championships. Reality set in during Dobie season 2.

Welcome back. The changeover to JConte's new engine drove away quite a significant amount of coaches.
It is the reason I only play Hardball now.
Same here.  But, I am interested to see how Norbert's update pans out
