First Superbowl in a decade without ... Topic

Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, or Ben Roethlisberger in the game.  Is this a new era, or will one of those guys be back in the game next year?

1 will be back next year.

AFC still seems like it's going to be pretty top heavy, so barring injuries I would expect at least 2, and there's a very good chance for all 3, to be in the playoffs next year.  So, while I think we're very close to the end of that era, if I had to take those 3 or the field, I'd probably take those 3.

I have my doubts on the Steelers, but I'd put money on Brady or Manning being there next year.  I feel Colts got a little lucky (look at the pt differential!) and I'm not sold on Cincy or a Baltimore team without Ray Lewis and what looks like could also be without Ed Reed.  Houston...I guess, I need to see more from Schaub.

Reed said he is coming back.  That of course could change, but as of now, I would pencil him in for the Ravens.  I also can't see them letting Flacco walk, but stranger things have happened I guess.

Right, yes.  I meant he's testing the FA waters, he'll be on A team next year.

January 26, 2003 was the last Superbowl without one of those guys.  That would be 10 years.  10 years = decade

Peyton Manning is amazing and one fluke of a loss to a Ravens team that's on fire doesn't change that. It's entirely possible he'll be back in the Super Bowl next year.

The Patriots are still the most talented team in football, so I wouldn't be surprised if they carry their over-rated QB to another Super Bowl next year.

The Steelers are still talented, too, so they've got a shot, but I'd take Peyton or the most over rated player in NFL history over them if I had to bet on it.

Peydone can't win in the playoffs...are you kidding?

How many "fluke" playoff losses does Peyton Manning have now?
