Trout, the next Bonds? Topic

From your link: "Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout bulked up in the offseason, and gained 10-15 pounds, according to beat writer Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times."

From DiGiovanna's story (my link): "But most of the added weight is muscle — Trout's body fat is 9% — and he expects to lose about 10 pounds during camp, which would put him right around the weight he finished last season at, 230 pounds.
And he has not gained 30 pounds, as some have speculated. Though he was listed at 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds last season, he actually weighed between 225 and 230."

DiGiovanna is the guy reporting 10-15, and it's consistent with what he wrote in his story.  Your link either has other sources or thinks 225-230 is close to 220.

I prefer mike's steroid hysteria over your logic and reason.

Yeah, 'cause I care if players do 'roids.

Well, you did start a thread about it.

I've also said MLB teams should put steroid dispensers next to the Gatorade jugs in the dugout.    What do I care what they put in their bodies?  I want to see players being their best.   I don't care how they get there.

Great. Why are you starting a thread full of steroid suspicion if you don't care?

One way or another, this shows that Trout is a liar.

Maybe he should be blackballed from the Hall of Fame too.

MLB frowns upon PED use.  Trout is a filthy cheater of Braunian proportions.

Ok. Seems like you care.

Just talking baseball.    I guess I could argue the age of the earth in the football forums but, you know, that seems like something a crazy, insecure person would do.

Nothing wrong with talking baseball. Most people tend to stick to topics they care about. When someone starts a steroid paranoia thread and then claims to not care about steroids, they look like a liar.

I see.

Czar of Everything has spoken?    Only discuss topics you care about?  Got it!!!

I'm pretty sure putting on 10-15 lbs at 21 isn't a big deal over the course of 3-4 months.   Jadaveon Clowney, CFB, reportedly has gone from 255 to 274 in college off-season.   That's 6 weeks.    But, if it's 30-40, it's going to jump out in the current baseball climate.
I went from 180 pounds to 205 in one summer (about 4 months).  Worked out 5 days a week.  I was 20 at the time.  It's not that hard.  I had to go to school and worked full time too.  So, if he's training hard the whole break and eating right...along with the MLB allowed substances, i think a 15-20 pound increase in weight is highly doable.
