I just wastched a team lose the finals due to exceptional bad FT% (~65%). Too many ~60FT% players. I think if your OK if you go +70FT%.
You sure they didn't lose for 37 other reasons you might not have understood?   No offense intended.

20. krishnaman - Ben Wallace, Tyson Chandler, Amare Stoudemire

YES!!!  I don't know if anybody has run Stat at the 3 in the past couple seasons of the ODL, but he's the next level below Barkley or McHale for 3-men in this league (less boards than Barkley & less defense than McHale).  With the board presence already demonstrated by Wallace & Chandler, this team is getting really, really scary.  I love it.  Need at least another 3rd tier usage guard for offense (and a buttload of assists between both guards) and this team is GOOD TO GO!

21. eleibowitz -
Magic Johnson, Tim Duncan, Antonio McDyess

Ummm... Not sure why you went McDyess.  Many better options at the 3 that are still available.  I assume you're using the 97-98 version... nothing per say wrong with him... just lot better options out there and he'd still been there in round 5 if not 6 if you wanted to stack up a better position.

22. natenoy -
Jerry Lucas, John Stockton, Alonzo Mourning

Another solid pick.  Love Zo... he's a great pickup in the 3rd round of the ODL.  He gives you easy 2s with 2nd tier usage, good defense, and somewhat decent rebounding.  He covers Lucas' average defense.  I think you're weak on the boards overall, so look to shore it up with the 2 & 3 while getting Zo a backcourt bomber and this team is excellent!

23. vancem -
Kevin Durant, Shawn Marion, Paul Gasol, Charlie Ward

Gasol is going ever higher.  He's the right usage mix with what you got going here... I'm just not a huge fan of any of his full seasons.  You have good rebounding at the 2 & the 3, however, so you're more than fine with Gasol.  I still think going for a true board lord would be a good idea, though.  Cumulative rebounding works... sometimes.   I do, however, love everything about your offense (and defense is good, too).  Ward... I'm always a fan of Ward, and I'm glad to see that someone is using him for other than his 827 minute season.  I'm assuming you're using his most expensive season here... 28% ast, 86 defense, 53% efg, about a 3 a game, tier 5 usage... absolutely perfect fit for this team.  I really dig it.

Yeah ash not sure myself about McDyess but in the end he fits. Il get what I need in the later rounnd. Need to reduce TO. Plus good rebounding and defense

Ash, I love Julius @ SG, the damage to a teams 3pt game is bar non. You won't see the whole picture until I have my first 5. I have my center, a Wilt that plays well with others, we agree on Porter and I have "Dr J". I have alot of flexiblity in the draft now, I really am quite happy with this draft so far. Rebounds are easy to come by, my next pick is the critical one. Now comes the hard part...

Well good luck.

ash would you suggest playing a 99% amare at 3 then? i was leaning toward using his tier 2 usage 59% shooting season at a PF/C rotation with Ben wallace and the Dallas tyson chandler

Julius and Porter in the back court is a great pairing. Porter to feed DrJ, Dr J covers Porters lack of D. Julius will grab 9-10  board @ SG and I get great ball movement from the two of them. Both have good FG%.  It could be worse...

Ash fundamentally we agree on most things, except 3 pointers, I try to draft only enough for end of the game clutch shooting. I bring players that shot well, but only 2-3 per game. To me it's not how many, it's when.

That's exactly what I would do (amare at the 3).

As I said before... Good luck.  I don't agree, and I've had quite a bit more experience than you, but you are set in your beliefs, so I won't try to change them.  Good luck.

One last thing...On that team that lost in the finals, it was most certianly FT's that cost him the ring. If the team had shot 70FT% he would have won it. The following season the team lost in the conf final for the same reason. It's a glaring deficiency on an otherwise champion team. That said, I think +70FT% it easy to draft, but too many "brick laying" big men can definately cost you a ring. God forbid you have a "brick layer" in the back court too.

What's the link to the team that lost and the team that won?

Yeah, gonna need a link.  I don't trust your judgement in evaluating anything in the sim.

I think hes talking about a progressive league full if oldtimers

5. xxevilivexx - Dennis Rodman, Dikembe Mutombo, Tracy McGrady

Well... if you're gonna go for a high volume scoring guard and you can't get Jordan or Lebron, Tmac is about the best there is.  There's so much good about him that the only reason I think he tends to fall is because people are coming around to a multi-faced offense instead of loading up on specialist with one high volume player.  If I didn't favor the same strategy, I would definitely (and have had him before) have tmac graded as a 1st rounder.  3s, boards, fts, assists, low to, low foul, even above average defense... there's nothing to not like except his average efg%, which isn't bad at all for a 1st tier usage player.  This team is not a team I want to face in a playoff series because you just never know what TMAC will do.

24. tarheel1991 - Jason Kidd, Ray Allen, Andrew Bynum

Inside game added to the already fantastic outside one.  I considered going with a twin towers approach in round 2... that's how highly I value Bynum... so I obviously think you got a fantastic value pick here that perfectly compliments what you're building.  I can't say much more about this team than the fact that I freaking dig the hell out of it!
