I think what is most disturbing is the claim of "doesn't affect anybody but them".    We live in a society.    Chaos Theory(or Butterfly Effect is you're more familiar with that) would suggest that slight changes can have an effect on everything that happens in the future.   If that doesn't really work for you perhaps you're more familiar with "For every action, there is a reaction".    Hell, even go with Nature vs. Nurture if that floats your boat.   All of them suggest that a change could have far-reaching effects in the future.

BAD_LUCK: CAN A BRIDGE ENTER INTO A CONTRACT?

DO YOU WANT TO TELL THIS WOMAN THAT SHE CAN'T BE HAPPY BECAUSE SHE CAN'T MARRY A BRIDGE?
Bridges aren't people. They can't enter into a legal contract in the US.

ARE YOU GOING TO TELL THAT WOMAN THAT SHE'S NOT ALLOWED TO BE HAPPY?

Yes, and the argument is (and was, months ago) that gay marriage would cause a minor ripple, at most, in our society.  Something like incest could cause more of a tidal wave, for reasons discussed earlier.

You know what?  I take it back, there may be a major change.  It would be an eventual further acceptance of homosexuality in our society.  I know, terrible, right?

What effect would you watching porn and jerking off all day have?

I'm not a fortune teller but, as I said, everything in society affects society in some way.

I don't know how you know whether it creates a minor ripple or a massive change.  And, judging from you next post moments later, neither do you.

Watching porn and jerking off all day isn't illegal.

And..............

It's allowed. Even if you think it might cause some sort of harm.

So what?    My point it "It doesn't affect anyone" is stupid.    We live in a society where rules, actions, guidelines, reactions, boundaries, behaviors, etc, etc. has an effect on said society.

Regardless, I'd argue it doesn't have a negative change.
