So that guy is getting 100 pitches a game.  What do you think is the best way to use a guy like that - 100 pitches a game (suffering from in-game fatigue) or 75 pitches a game, and pitching more games over the course of the season?

I'd use him in Tandem B with 55-75 pitches depending on the Tandem A pitcher.     Essentially the first guy would go 4-5 innings and Ryal would finish the game.   Probably 70-75 times a season.   He's not being used properly with 100 pitches per game.  Too much IGF for a 53 stamina.

Wow, that Ryal guy is unRyal.  Id do exactly as MikeT says.  That dude you want him pitching tandemB every other game.  He could easily do it.  Hed have a chance at 45-50 wins.  Imagine a career year with a dominant hitting team behind him?  He could hit 60 wins, the club could hit 130 wins.  The 60 wins would be a record for all of HBD Id think...

1.  Best player I've ever seen.
2.  Drafted second overall.
3.  Was traded.
4.  If he'd never had elbow surgery, would he be 100 OA?

To be fair to whoever had the #1 pick their scouting budget was low.

That's hard to find though isn't it? I have 1 guy with all 5 pitches 50+ and he doesn't seem to be that great.  Andrew Phillips
All of his previous seasons were played in an extreme hitters park, and he was caught by catchers with low PC and arm ratings. The fact that he has a career 4.50 ERA to date is a testament to my claim IMO.

If Andrews 1st pitch was 15 pts better he would be nearly a monster.  73 1st with a crap vsL and a decent at best vsR adds up to not that good.

The evidence doesn't seem to support your claim.

I didnt say he would suck, and a 1.33 WHIP isnt that good.  Its certainly not something you want to rely on if you want to win the WS.  Unless you have killer bats.  .270 career OAV also is just ok, 4.5 WHIP will be inflated by the ballparks he is in too.

Would I be happy to have him on my team?  sure thing, Id love to have him being a LRA for the playoffs, but Im not sure Id want him being in my 3 man rotation in that situation is all (unless he had a pull of 4).
