the division draft is based totally on regular season records

the order would go tarheel, logain, tricky, then me

Okay 98average enough already . . . where is the final power ranking? If any of you stud owners puts my team in your top 5 to be in the same division I'll cry like a baby.

btw...i will be finishing the team evals for every team...it may just take longer then expected...obv the weekend is a tough time to focus on wis
5/18/2013 1:15 AM
also...im feeling cocky again...98 - you might wanna just send me that free team now.....stockton to durant is gonna wreak havoc on this league...connie friggin hawkins certainly isnt stopping durant
5/18/2013 1:24 AM
Come to your senses dh555. Connie Hawkins would not be guarding Durant. That's DR J's job. Billips is going top press Stockton into at least 6 turnovers per game. Shawn Bradley will hold Bynum to less than 10 ppg. Zelmo is going to tear JJ Hickson up. And Grant Hill is going to teach Noah a thing or 2 about how to play the SF position in this league. Leon Powe will beat the heck out of Brandon Wright on the block. What are you smoking dh555 some Oregon skunk weed? 98average will be all over that bet.

But I haven't heard from him lately now have I. It must be taking a great deal of effort to figure out how to create reasons to get that team to the top of the power rankings again. I can hardly wait for the explanation. Just don't blow my mind with any secrets 98average.

No need for a final power ranking. We got a lot of know it alls around here. But to answer your question, yes I am still on top of the rankings.

Response to natenoy's crazy math about felonius' team from last season that nate thought should have won 50 plus games is in the other forum. Try not to be confused by the simple numbers that I used fellas.

tanguma44 this is required reading for you pal. It also helps if you stay on your meds. I will evaluate your team and give you an sm in detail later but it's difficult to find the time to break it down enough so that you will grasp it and be able to apply the learning next season. So start with my response in the other forum. Add up some of your numbers and compare them to the 50 win teams in the other leagues that you are in.

dh, the evals are a great read so far, and we can all tell you are putting in some serious time to do them, fills the void left by Vance not doing them this time, he spoiled us the last two seasons, and now you are keeping the bar pretty high as well.

As an FYI when you look at my team, I'm still doing some fine tuning but I'm 99% sure that at this point I'm playing D Will at PG and using an undrafted guy with 4-point usage, an efg near 50, D over 65 and an ast% over 35 as his backup. Given my plan at PG I've decided to use the 6-point usage West at SG for 38mpg and a Korver with an efg of at least 58% and a D of 50 or more will play the other 10mpg. Still have not made up my mind if I'm going to use the $5mill 12-13 season (the one I drafted obviously) or take the $2 mill season and use the remaining money to lock down more boards and D, sure would have liked to have had a shot at Faried or Drummond (thanks again tar).

If I keep the full Korver then Rodman plays 11mpg at PF, if I do that then Korver will be my only backup at both SG and SF, assuring that a 90D guy stays on the floor at all times. 99% sure I'll use the 67% efg 90D less rebounding 32mpg season of Chandler, leaving 4-5 minutes a game where Daughery plays PF with Sabonis at C.

So, if I go with the $5mill Korver that leaves me with an 8-man rotation, just enough minutes to cover everything, but I've never tried to run with only 8 and it worries me a little bit. No I don't have a crazy high  ast% like Logain, but I'll have around 20% from my 3 bigs, and at least 34% from my PG.

In the end this becomes a team built to maximize my fourth round pick in West. With bigs that all have an efg from 56.5-67, over 450 threes including a guy that will hit 200 or so at 45%+ , a solid ast%, and above ave rebounding that includes the Worm. Also three guys and over 110 mpg of 90D and only one guy under 50D. My paint shots will come at a very high% and a majority of my threes will as well. Yes, West will likely shoot me out of a few games, but he'll also draw tons of fouls and hit the FTA's. No he's not on the MJ, Kobe, Wade, LeBron level, but IMO this is a solid approach to get the most out of what he brings to the table, and the more I look at and dig into the sim results I'm pretty convinced that a team needs at least one 6-point usage guy, even if the efg is just below average for this league.

One more note: I'm really looking forward to using 98's GC to pay for my team next time, hoping I land in his division, or if not 98 at least get another crack at Vance (even though Vance's team looks pretty damn strong), but you HAVE to end up with a few strong teams in your division, might as well be with the guys that like to talk trash IMO.

Team Name: Don't Call It A Comeback

I'm going to score some points and will make the most of every opportunity with my efg%, but am starting more usage than I probably should.  I normally don't venture over 16 and with this starting 5 I'm running 18.  I'm a little light on reb%, but I think my scoring and efg% will help offset that.  My starters' defense going down the list in order:  60, 80, 85, 55, 90 with my two reserves at 82 and 53 respectively.  However, my team fouls are way above where they should be so that may be a problem.  I normally would use Marshall's 2600 minute season, but want his additional minutes so I'm going with the 3000 minute season.  I have great inside/outside scoring and with the right undrafted players to round out my squad, I definitely feel like I have a contender.

Sly my biggest exposure is my 39D/53D center combo, you are the LAST team I want to see in my division, at least with a Wilt or Kareem team Chandler can cover, but he can't guard BOTH Superman and Stat at the same time, here's hoping you end up in the other conference.

Dh, wanted to confirm this before the draft starts:

Original idea called for the teams with picks #1 and #4 to be in the East and picks #2 and #3 to be in the West, I assume you plan to still follow that?

If so then it would be:
East
Atl: Tar
Cen: Dh

West
MW: Logain
Pac: tricky

Lol, thanks nate.  I hope I've chosen the right subs to make everything come together.
