The "1885-20??" league needs 1 new owner to takeover a team that is on autopilot (season started May 31st). It is a keeper league in which each season brings in a new set of players to the draft pool. The new players progressively come from the next 5 year timeframe. We have just now started season 13 which includes the years 1885-1959. (Season 14 will then bring in players whose rookie year was 1960-64, and season 15 will bring in 1965-69 players, etc.)

No Gift Certificate entry fees for this league.

Sooners...  This is a competitive league in which owners work hard at drafting and building their teams to be competitive. The Wagner-Mathewson team, currently named the Deadheads, had an 87-75 record and just missed the playoffs.

If you enjoy researching and drafting, I highly encourage you to claim this team and make a pennant run.

The league is halfway through its planned lifetime. It's the Deadheads' draft choice right now in the 1st Round for Season 13.

All interested owners: The first team listed above is currently playing in the LCS and is doing so on autopilot, as the owner abandoned the league at midseason, as far as we can tell.

Imagine what you might be able to do with such a team by actually managing it ... Cy, Cicotte, Heilmann, Cochrane, Schoendienst ...

Good Luck to the new owners.  I have been in this from the beginning and would rate this a 2F League--Fun and Frustrating.
Good research produces Gems on the diamond.  The real work comes after the HOF players disappear.

The Honus Wagner/Christy Mathewson team is available. The season has started, but the owner has decided to quit WIS altogether. And so the team is available. You'll be getting a good team!
