Neglecting my ODL eval duties just a little longer to take a look at this 12-13 league and lock down my own rotation.
What an f’n marathon that draft was, but on the bright side no one has ANY excuse not to get their team into the league within let’s say the next 2-3 days. No bench decisions to make; and I don’t think there are many players with a split 12-13 season where the fewer minutes version would be the proper choice.
Maybe we should have 1-2 days to make any final trades in case there are a few teams that are below 19,000 minutes, IMO if anyone is below 19,300 then they are royally screwed.
I personally am in serious need of more rebounding, and I drafted an extra 1,000 minutes that I am willing to part with, but I’m not sure if DH is ok with a few last minute deals.
I posted some data about the RL 12-13 season earlier in this thread (what now seems like months ago btw). Two things I kept out of my post on purpose: (1) you realize that the 12-13 NBA season averaged more 3pt attempts and had more 3-pointers made than any season EVER in the history of the NBA. It’s the only season ever with more than SEVEN 3’s per team per game at 7.16; and it’s the only one with more than 19 three point attempts, at 19.95. Of course that also means it had the largest percentage of perimeter shots in history as well at 24.25% And (2) this was one of the lowest (and I think it’s the lowest) number of FTA’s attempted in a season at .092 per minute per player or about 22.08 per team per game, I believe the only other season below .010 was the 11-12 season at .093 (but this makes sense because players are far less likely to get fouled on a 3pa). The pf rate of .082 (11-12 was .081) is also one of the lowest ever, so FTA’s in this league will be harder to come by than most of us have seen (interested if any of you guys saved a data file from your 11-12 sim, because FTA and pf’s were very similar last year, I’d love to know what we are in store for here.)
