#2 Pick.. What to do? Topic

I have the #2 pick in he draft and can't decide which route to go... 14/14 Scouting..

I'm leaning toward drafting option 1 which is a sign for the right price guy..  And just taking the #3 pick next season and hopefully land a nice SP..

I have the following young hitters at my key positions but have no pitchers..

If I dont sign my draft pick this season I will ahve $20M to invest in IFA market..

I'd go with Option #2 or #5.  #1 will be a very good 2B (if his defense improves enough) but it's really tough to draft a guy with 60/46 CON/POW with the 2nd pick, even with those splits.  #2 will be a gold glove CF with a plus bat, although it would be better if he was slanted more towards RHP.  And #5 looks like a stud that can give you 225 IP+ as long as those splits get close to 70.

I'm curious to see what others think as #1 is very unique but just seems more like a 5-10 pick to me.

I screwed up #5 is 22yrs old.

Sh*tty draft..

If #2 had decent BR ability  or was better vs RH or even the ability to play 2B I would take him..

This isnt a sh!tty draft, Id say its excellent!  #3 is going to be an absolute  monster hitter, and he can even play RF very effectively.  Those splits with a 100 power?  Id be very very happy to have him with the #2 pick.  And the SP #5 is going to be a stud too.  The nearly perfect CT and 1st pitch along with the awesome DUR/STA and decent to very good other important ratings makes him a CY candidate nearly every year.  Bottom line its between these 2 for me, and Id take whichever one depending on the future makeup of my team.  If Im short on SPs or short on massive HR hitters.  Its hard to be short on stud SPs though ofcourse.

Punt, and chase IFA's

I'd go #3.  Guys like him seem to slip because he doesn't play 2B or SS or whatever, but he's the same guy who hits 55 HR + 160 RBI and everyone looks back and thinks, how did he make it to #8 in the draft.

#5 is 22yrs old and his OVR to start is 62.. My training and coaches are not very good so I think he will take a hit with his limited window of progression..

I have to assume that with my low scouting he isnt going to reach the Proj's that are listed..
