Sandberg Season 27 - FULL Topic

Very good world - many original owners, many top owners.  Very good competition, no drama.

Available Teams

DURHAM BULLS 72-90 NL EAST

http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx?pid=4957445 HONG JIN-LEE

This team has decent pitching in Oliver and Simmons and a good bull pen, but the stud of the team is 22 Year Old Phenom, Hong Jin-Lee, who should be one of the best players in this world for the next 12-13 years.

ST. LOUIS 64-98 NL WEST

This team has some decent pieces.  It could use a couple power hitters, but you could build this team into a winner.

If you want to contend fast and have a good team for years, check out the Scranton team.

That Durham franchise is a real up-and-comer: no ML players over 33, only four $1m-plus salaries (others in arb). Budget in great shape. It's poised to do good things.

Sign up -- this was my very first world and I am returning this season to it.  The Durham team is in my division and would love a challenge from a quality opponent  (yes, that was an intentional dis of my other two division mates)

Scranton looks like a pretty decent team.

They are, some real talent there.  They are yours if you want them.  P.S. Durham's owner forgot to re-up and will be back soon.

So Durham is off the market, but it looks like Anaheim (NL West) is available. NL is full, except for the two West franchises (St. L. is the other).

It's hoped that an original AL owner will return for S27. If so, then only Scranton and Houston are open in the AL -- four openings total. And Scranton probably won't last long.

Good teams.  Will update the available teams shortly, once the new owners take their spots.

So it's down to three, maybe four if the San Juan owner decides not to return. That team has won eight straight division titles, 10 of 11, and a WS just three seasons ago. Might want to check it out, just in case.

St. Louis (See link) is still available.  They had a poor year, resulting in a high pick.  There are pieces on this team.  With some wise free agency moves, this team could be pretty competitive quickly.

This is an excellent world.  We are good at helping newer type owners, but competitive enough for the seasoned pro.

St. Louis has at least a couple of nice SPs, Aurelio Colon and youngster Vernon Cortes. The most expensive player is five-time All-Star RP Esteban Park, but he has an option that can be declined this season. If you like defense, CF Andres Cervantes already has two Gold Gloves and he's only 26.

... Plus the fourth overall draft pick (Rule V, too, of course).

Btw, Sandberg has Minimum Win Rules -- 54/1yr, 114/2yr, 186/3yr. Also, owners are required to have a minimum of $30m spent on ML payroll .. legitimate major leaguers.
