Yeah, I'm not afraid to admit I'm retarded.    I'll scale it back to 12-18.   Maths is hard.

You spelled "6-12" wrong

Hitters miss the sweet spot on the bat with Rivera by 10 inches with regularity.   Are all professional hitters ******?

Wait - in the other thread you said they miss by 18 inches, which is it?

And guess what: if they're missing the sweet spot by 10 inches, that would imply a roughly 10 inch break, no? I think that falls in the 6-12 range.

No I didn't.   Look again.

I did. First page of the other thread - look familiar?

"But, even so, if you've ever seen Rivera pitch, professional hitters get sawed off 12 inches above the hands.   Assuming a 34 inch bat, they're missing the "sweet spot" by about 18 inches. "

I didn't read this whole thread but want to throw this in. Last week the Mets had a shift on against a lefty with David Wright the only guy on he left side. Problem is there was a man on second and all he had to do to steal 3rd was beat Wright to the bag. Which he did. Then scored the winning run a sac fly. Very bad. Not a fan of the shift.
