I'm starting a new league with simple rules.  Build your team using players from only two teams.  Post WWII.  $120 million.  Come compete!

Do you mean teams as in franchises: Yankees and Dodgers? Or do you mean teams: 1961 Yankees and 1964 Dodgers?

As you're defining it, I mean franchise.  I said team because some franchises have two teams, like ExposNationals.  If you picked the Nationals, for example, that wouldn't include Expo players in the league.

Trades and WW are okay as long as they stay within the theme of having all your players from two teams.

I'm not sure what you mean by "go lets," but the 2 teams in your example  would simply be the Pirates and the Indians.  You could pick players from any season, 1946 on.

I like this idea, too.

There are lots of franchise leagues out there and even ones that use two different franchises.

This would be different.

You could pick two teams and only use the players on those two teams. No twisting. There would be millions of different combinations and all kinds of strategies.

For diversity you could limit the number of teams from a certain franchise so you don't get 12 Yankee teams.

All true.  It definitely has possibilities.

I like this idea and am going to give it a whirl.  But I also like the idea proposed by talismen and fatboydad.  I'd try that league too!
