Pick 2 unique seasons and a Ballpark - 160 Mil Topic

LEAGUE IS FULL

I had an idea for a league that would eliminate so many guys having the same season.  So many leagues I have joined where 5 guys have 1911 Cobb, or 8 guys have 1921 Ruth, or 20 guys have 2000 Pedro!!

So, my idea is simple:

1.  Pick any two consecutive seasons as your own.  Example would be 1918 and 1919.  Draft all players from ONLY those two seasons.  Once you pick those years, they are yours only.  No other owner can even overlap those years (1917 and 1918 for example).  The seasons you pick would be yours and yours alone.

2.  Pick a park.  I would outlaw Coors and Mile High because they are ridiculous, but all other parks would be open and unique to owner.  That way we each have our own ballpark.

3. NO CLONES allowed whatsoever.

4.  You would have No DH, No AAA, No WW, No Trades.  Run with what you Drafted only.

5.  You would have 160 million bucks to buy your team(s) with, which should be plenty of cash for all of us.

6.  You are welcome to have two teams in the league if you want, and I will make sure they are in different leagues.

I was going to make this first come/first serve on season and ballpark choices.  I think with only 24 owners, and 127 seasons to choose from, we could all end up happy.  I am starting with 1993/1994, and using Chase Field.

*PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU INFORM ME OF YOUR CHOICES AFTER REVIEWING THE LIST BELOW.......ONLY ONE SPOT LEFT!!*

I'll take '95-'96, stadium TBD.

I'd like PNC Park - and if it's up for discussion, at this cap with the two season restrictions, I'd vote for DH (although I usually prefer non-DH leagues).

If there's a DH, I'll take a second team - one hundred ten years before my other team, 1885 and 1886 playing in Arlington.

No DH for this league.  Sorry, but I find that offense gets a little out of control when you have a DH.  I prefer Old-School baseball.

No problem - it's just that at this cap $160 is just about impossible to spend short of an All-Star bench.  If you spend $10mil each on eight position players and four SPs, $3mil each on seven relievers, and $1mil each on six bench players (assuming you could find consecutive seasons you could even do that without clones) that's still only $147mil!

Very true.  I just went that high with the cap to make it so you could get whomever you wanted for the seasons you pick.  I doubt many of us will even reach that 160 level, but the money is there either way.
