steeler's team - with 2 you get eggroll

lot's of rice and veggies (dinner fillers) rodman and unseld, and a delicious appetizer, curry (no, not indian food, but a chinese eggroll)... still waiting for the main course

doesn't look too scary on paper, steelers, which translates into, a dynamo in the actual league. congrats on landing rodman. i still think he, lebron and moses are the top 3 in the odl. jordan and wilt are "musts", but the worm is easier to build around. that super lebron season is a pain in the open leagues to build with, but with the added 5 mil in the odl, ya gotta take him no. 1

i was a little dumbfounded by the unseld pick, another low usage-high board man. he dishes a bit, but lacks solid def. curry is a great value for the money. almost enough three's to go at it single-handedly. he and unseld, and even a little from the worm, provide a good start with dimes. seems you put together the boards, asts and three's with the first 3 picks, and ya saved some money in the process for the upcoming rounds. wise thing. good luck.

i like getting frazier in the 4th round. uva once smailed me and said, "scud, frazier is always overlooked. if you want him on your team, wait before you pull the trigger on him." he was right. just need some 3's and some more dimes, and this squad should be competitive.

Wow there's a ton of great teams drafted so far. Sorry I am missing out but RL is kicking my butt right now. Hopefully I will return next season. Glad to see that you are back scud  I was worried that something bad had happened to you. Keep up the good drafting fellas.

malones team - Halloween

perfect name for a team that scares the bajoogers out of me. this is my favorite (most hated) team thus far in the draft. malone is just one pick away from blowing this thing wide open. hope he has a brain fart and messes up his 4th round pick.

as it stands, if malone handles oscar just right (half-court tempo) and not waste him in uptempo/press settings where the dude will actually foul out of games (3.7 fpg), then oscar's gonna be formidable in multiple areas. what else is there to say about, shaq, other than, shaking your head and pondering, "do i have a big to slow down the diesel? "Nope." my duncan nor russell won't slow him down much, does not fare well for the rest of the league either then.

to make matters worse, horace does everything well, plays 2 positions, and does nothing poorly. perfect three-finger fit with this squad so far. like i said, Halloween!

piece of advice: don't go hog-wild with finding your 3pt sniper. go easy there and fill the third need first, someone to dish to oscar. oscar will be dishing to shaq. gl

hey, van! good to see you again. yeah, wish you were in this shin-dig too. not the same now. you used to be such an easy "mark" when you came on to the wis scene a few years ago. now, you're a major pain and i'm the mark. good god.

yeah, china sent me to syria for a while to... well, not important. damn glad to be back in the middle kingdom, and back at wisnba.

smokey's team - Tightrope

smokey has put together 3 specialists, which bodes well for filling needs: dimes, steals, def, 3's,blks and efg%. well done. but what is difficult is that this team walks the tightrope without a net. the next 2 rounds are stumpers to me. he's gotta find 2 guys with similiar "needs" stats to bring to the table, and this will be difficult. if smokey can find guys with the same def and efg%, in addition to bringing their own "specialities", then katie, bar the door!

on the flip side, the player pool begins to run thin at this juncture, and yes, solid players appear, but with that 1 flaw (whatever that may be), thus, disrupting a once finely balanced squad. trouble with teams like this is that you need 5 guys that are the same in quality to work. the usage range is close to each other which leaves less room to operate.

but back to the good things, 3's are easy to find, and so are boards... easier than good defensive guys who dime-up and shoot well, like stockton, alvin and big bob do. i'd be searching the data base for that PF who brings at least 70 def and 48%efg with a 10-12 oreb%. there's a few of these guys left that would fit well. like i said, this is a tightrope. one misstep at this stage and it would be face-first from a great height onto the circus floor. but there could be popcorn and cotton candy and kids laughing at clowns here. a good time for all. good luck, smokey in the next couple of rounds.

if it works, will rename the team: Lion Tamer

thisredsox - Double Take

this squad reminds me of the chick who walks right by you... you notice her, she seems ok, not great, until she gets past you and you notice her perfect ***! then you stare for awhile and then walk right into a light pole.

on the surface, nothing jumps out at you right away. sure, there's wade... and who? hmmm, nothing special. then it dawns on you, the defense here is formidable as hell, there's plenty of room for wade to operate, and there's a very efficient 2nd scorer. damn, there's some rebounding here too, dimes, and some three's mixed in and suddenly, wham! the light pole affixes a major bump on your noggin'.

red, you have constructed an ideal team for wade to operate in while shoring up wade's needs with dynamic role players. i kind of agree/disagree with jhsukow's previous evaluation in which your choice of wallace was questioned. he can't oreb worth a crap, but he does dreb some, but enough at the no. 3 to warrant a 3rd round pick? the jury is out on that... however, he does other things quite well, but more importantly, wade's usage% is a beast, and the man needs the table set properly before he can be army like, and be all he can be.

penny boards a little, serge boards some, wallace does too, and so does wade. all positives. dimes are plentiful, and enough 3's to keep teams honest. yeah, a nice *** forming for sure. you know what is needed now, and you'll find some of these bigs in the 5th round for sure. there's one big that would fit perfectly for this squad, but i'm afraid he will soon be snatched up before the 4th round is over. too bad.

if you blow your 5th round pick, that fine *** just turns into another ugly face, and the girl with the nice bod becomes just that, another nice bod in a sea of ugly women. another ho-hummer. but i think you are an enlightened owner, so you'll choose wisely. this is definately an interesting squad. 1 dynamo surrounded with good defensive players who dish, shoot some threes, and are efficient as hell. gl2u.
