I JUST HATE pre 1900's teams in SIM. Rules were different, BS 900 inning pitchers. same players taken early. HORUS I hate Boston teams even more now. Well goodbye Paul Waner 6 million player. I guess I am stuck with HARRY STOVEY and his 97 Stolen bases but ugly fielding

On a team having at least 24 players, you also have to consider what if some of those players have been taken already.  I counted before I picked to make sure it worked.  I didn't want to be the owner to break uno!

yeah the reds are fine, its the one year teams that pose issues if they are played under the exact right circumstances, whether those would ever exist is a completely different matter though

I've always thought a good cutoff date would be 1893, when pitchers moved back 10 feet 6 inches.  1894 was a huge hitters year for that reason, then you see the hitting stats go down again into the deadball era.  It took managers a while to realize they were burning pitchers out with 400+ IP.

But I do think that pitchers like Johnson, Walsh, Joss, and Matty would be studs today, 100 years later.  I don't have a problem with these guys in WIS at all, but I do love the uno draft because there will only be one of each in the league.

There could be a rule that if we ever ran out of players on a team, the commish could do a random throw of the available teams and pick a new team.

I might not have broken UNO, but I know I broke Todd. :) I also might have put a wrench in jlrunruh's team. Ahhhhhh, its great to be back in Uno.

I still like my idea of pre 1900 players. divided into 3 groups   1900-1935-     1936-1980    and 1981-2013 or at least somehow get some 1940s and 1950s players involved. those two eras never get used too much especially the 1940s -1955.

I guarantee I won't be picking a Boston Red at 23

I think this is accurate...my apologies for going off- I'll delete my posts.  Congrats to those who had nice selections to choose from throughout the Draft & didn't get screwwed in the last critical rounds missing out on a chance to get useable key players & have been screwwed...for those that did- I feel ya...welcome to the not so fun side of UNO.  I thought INCREASING the amount of split teams would help create more positive player options late.  I never anticipated 2-3 go **** yourself rounds at the critical stages late where some of us really needed some key starting players & only had useless garbage to chosse from.........
