You just can't change rules this late in a draft...People build their strategies based on the rules as stated...

HOW AM I CHANGING A RULE???  what logic allows a team to be nominated that doesn't have 24 players?
Was it my bad not looking into every franchise?  Yes.  But it's just not logical tp have a team where there aren't 24 players & just ASSUME that someone has & can use a Reverse or Wild.

If you don't like my logic on needing to have 24 eligible players- then don't play.

you are right TODDLEDUC lets move on. Its not going to kill anyone. Again thanks for the great job of updating all the rounds and players and teams on page ONE. That is a HELL of a lot of work for anyone to do. I don't think anyone would want to do it, so lets move on with the draft the commish has made a ruling. And just so everyone knows, he would have picked behind BASTAN and would not of been stuck with a ****** pick.

I'm good.  Thanks for all you do Todd.  One of the reasons I followed last seasons draft and wanted to play was the banter and comradrie of the owners.  The league sounded fun.  I'd like to continue for it to be so.  It's not like the Solons are a fabulous team,(sorry to all you Solon lovers).

IMHO, the commisioner did the right thing.  Yes, it's true, the worst thing a commissioner can do to to change or invent  a new rule mid stream.  It just can't happen.  However, I have also seen many situations where the unforeseen arises, like now, with a looming disaster, a sword of Damocles exists that requires a good commissioner to intervene in advance.

Yes, there are only 14 Brooklyn Wonders.  However the fact is no on is required to use a wild card or reverse card.  That being the case, there is potentially not enough players to get through a round.  We can't be a situation where we run out of picks.  You would then have to redraft the round, or invent a new rule to finish the round - both would be very bad.

Yes, I know people have promised to use wildcards, etc - however, again, we can't rely on that, we can't require people to do that.

Thank goodness the commisioner made a declarative rule rather than asking for vote.  Good Job.

Even though I had a disagreement earlier, I still have enjoyed this league and hope it still continues. Todd, you have done an excellent job with this league. I think dilligafdpb has a excellent point, but mpitt76 does too.
