jrunruh will trade 1895 Bill Lange, 2005 Deivi Cruz, and 1967 Dennis Bennett
vindex24 wii trade 1992 Rod Beck, 2005 Joel Pineiro, and 1960 Rocky Bridges (plus $800,000) to balance salary cap

I was wondering how that was going to work myself.  My understanding is that at no time may a team exceed the cap.  Both teams have to come out of any trade under the cap.  Or maybe I'm misunderstanding the terms of the trade.

Whichever team is getting the more-expensive players would have to budget for that in the draft (i.e. draft 119.2M in players).

I don't think a trade "in principal" during the draft should allow an owner more wiggle room in the draft itself.  Come into the season with both owners under the cap, then complete the deal, and I for one am fine with the trade itself.  Otherwise I would vote to veto it.  Nothing personal............
