Rule V Leg #42 Draft Thread Topic

I'm here, but Uehara was my planned pick, so I'll need a little bit. (Red Sox are off the board, to add)

Indians select Koji Uehara from the Red Sox.

Can someone sitemail? Still on the road!
That's it, wait just long enough that I start fantasizing about actually getting him through the draft.  I expected him to go sooner, I must say.

Dick Allen - White Sox
There he goes. I considered Allen at 1-1. He's a steal this late.

That appears to be a minority opinion, av.  Not a lot of data, as the White Sox are rarely used -- this is only the 6th time out of 18 for which I have records.  Before this leg, I was the most recent White Sox owner, in Leg 40.  I protected Allen before Round One, but I was the first ever to protect him at any point.  He went undrafted the previous 4 times the White Sox were involved.

Drat. It came down to him or Witt for my final keeper. Thought I could survive losing Salmon a bit better.  So, now we'll find out.

How did Allen do for you, sgsmith?  I know your entire team got off to a slow start but can't remember what kind of numbers Allen ended up posting.

I can't really remember.  Both he and Albert Belle got off to horrendously slow starts.  I think Allen ended up with more respectable numbers (maybe ~ .800 OPS?)  than Belle, but I could be wrong.

And, though I fear being reminded I will go ahead and ask: where did Belle's numbers end up?
