I was really considering Stockton to go along with CP3.  Paul can rebound well enough as a 2.  I wanted Donyell also but had to change plans.  McAdoo has consistently overperformed and he has low negatives to go with the 55 efg.

Andrew Bynum was a a bit of a reach at 61 but his 59 D, 55 EFG%, decent rebounding, low turnovers and very low fouls makes him decent partner inside with Barkley. He may end up being a better pick for the team than Parish would have been. Maybe it was a good thing that I accidentally site mailed Mikee1 with my third round proxy list. Now he won't be getting any guards until the 4th and 5th rounds and most of the really good ones should be gone by then.

I'm also glad that I didn't try to trade Billups. I had an evil plan to move him so that I could snag Terry Porter and them grab Kobe in the 3rd. I think that a Kobe/Barkley combo may have worked in this league. With Kobe gone before my pick in the third I would gotten stuck with a much lower quality player in his place especially defensively.

I love what coach just did too. T Mac and Stockton are a tough duo at guard. Stockton's assists keep T Mac's EFG% just good enough to be a top tier team. Gilmore's usage is good enough to be second on the team behind T Mac. This roster will be super easy for coach to fill out. Great job my friend.

not many paint monsters left out there that will warrant a balance to be played against you.

Preliminary, utterly non-scientific evaluations are posted on the first page for those teams that have made four picks.

Good stuff Brad. As far as my team is concerned: this squad is about making adjustments from previous failures. Learned first hand what two sub-50 D players equates to in this league as I led the league in points allowed last time and even though I was top-3 in scoring I was toast. Also learned in the last ODL what happens to teams that roll the dice on the ast% penalty, so I didn't want to go down that path again either.

I ALWAYS get my triples in these leagues, so yea at least 2 of my last 3 picks will be bombers. Zero chance I come in with under 400 in RL even though I only have 1/4 of PG and SF minutes along with the SG position left to fill. Rondo allows me to take almost anyone that is left, his 90D along with the 100 of Nance means that I won't get crushed on the perimeter again, and my total ast% is close to 70% from my first four guys, so I'm safely above that penalty. Rondo does hurt in that he lacks range, and I also like to have range at SF but Nance may be the cleanest 100D guy in the sim and he both reduces opponents 3pt% and can guard the 4 and 5.

I'm also using the super-clean (only 2.6 pf48) passing version of Unseld. Efg is over 50 as is his D, and even though I could get more than his 36.6 creb for 38 minutes a game IMO the low negatives are a solid tradeoff.

Overall rebounding will likely be my main issue for this squad. But I'm on track to have one of the better efg's in the league with an adequate D, plenty of ast%, and of course adding triples is just around the corner. Plus my turnovers should be low for an uptempo team given Nance was below 7% in RL and neither Kareem nor Unseld kills me there (not to mention my long-range guys will naturally be low to players as well.)

RL possessions and FTA's could end up a tad low, but the focus for this squad is to get the ball to Kareem. It's impossible to match Wilt's points from last time, but I may be able to push Kareem damn close to 40ppg since he gives me well over 40mpg. Still a few things to decide on for this squad, but at least IMO this team is not dead out of the gate like my last one was.

I agree you have good flexibility for your next pick, and while you may need to give in other areas you'll be able to find a good bomber.  Very curious to see how your squad does.

Interesting team i'm building, Larry Bird gives you so much flexibility.  Super low fouls only committing .063 per minute.  Assists and rebounding are very high.  Defense is solid and can cover for Boozer's lack of D.

Yeah, I'm realizing you have huge flexibility in the next two rounds.  Assists are taken care of without your having drafted a conventional PG.  I think there's an obvious move in the fifth round, but I'm curious to learn whether I'm right.

Yeah I'm just wondering how much usage I should have... whether I should take a 2 pointer or a 4 pointer
