FSU: J Anderson 11 pts, G Edmundson 10 pts
Game notes: Neither team shot better than 38% from the field, with both teams playing stiffling defense.  CSU Chico opened up an 11 point lead at one point in the first half, but by halftime it was a 2 point game and it was close the whole second half.  Both teams went on a long scoring drought at the end of the game, with neither team scoring over the game's final 3 minutes. SU: W Lovett 20 pts, M Higginbotham 17 pts, R Matte 14 pts/8 asts
Game notes: Another fantastic Bidwell Bash game, this one went to overtime when the game's leading scorer, Gary Seegmiller, hit a pull-up jumper from the left wing as time expired in regulation to send it to overtime, and then in OT he converted an old-fashioned 3-point play with 14 seconds left to pull the Muleriders on top by a point for the win.  SAU's Rick Matte's 8 assists tied the Bidwell Bash record set by CSU Chico's Alan Kemmerer last season.

Arkansas stud Gary Seegmiller to 4-14 from the floor and 2-7 from 3, including a miss with 1 second left in the game that would have won it.  Samuel Kenny fell 2 rebounds short of a double-double, his first failure to reach a double-double in the Bidwell Bash Invitational.

GG mduncan! You have a great squad. Can't believe the run we're on right now. All of the teams in the Bidwell Bash are very tough and I feel very fortunate to have gotten the wins we've had. Thanks mduncan for organizing this event and for all of your hard work writing the recaps, etc. Really adds a cool dimension to the game. GL to everyone moving forward.

CSU: V Rodrigue 21 pts, S Kenny 15 pts, J Turner 12 pts, E Jarrett 11 pts
Game notes: U of DC won this game, and the Bidwell Bash Invitational along with it, in convincing fashion, outscoring #2 CSU Chico by 11 points on the road.  U of DC got Chico star C Samuel Kenny in foul trouble, and limited him to just 15 points and 5 rebounds, both well below his Bidwell Bash averages through 4 games.  U of DC also played great defense, forcing 18 Chico turnovers.

Arkansas led by 19 points at the break and cruised to the easy win in the second half.  While S. Arkansas' 83 points were impressive against a good Fairmont St. defense, its defense was even better, holding Fairmont St. to just 36.7% shooting from the floor, including 33.3% (9-for-27) from behind the arc.

Seattle 74, Lewis 63 (OT)
SU: C Rudnitski 17 pts/19 rebs (POTG), R Matte 20 pts/10 asts, T Hammond 14 pts, W Lovett 10 pts/4 asts
LU: J Zeinert 19 pts, H Kellam 14 pts/8 rebs, B Kraft 11 pts, D Williams 11 pts/3 stls
