It's the "best fans in baseball" image they give.  Bullshit. 

But why hold that against the team?  It's not their or the Cardinal fans' fault that announcers and visiting ballplayers are the ones putting that out there (and they do say it rather consistently).  Hate the announcers (which most of us do) and hate the visiting ballplayers but why hate the franchise?  Even if I wasn't a "homer", I'd admire the way they go about their business.

 

I think the Cardinals fans buy into it.  I do respect the way the Cardinals are run, but that doesn't mean I have to root for them.  Hell, I respect the way the Yankees are run.

I hated the 2004 Red Sox with that moron Kevin Millar, Pedro "I attack old people" Martinez, and that idiot Schilling....I hated the 2007 team that had Kevin "I get hurt taking a dump" Youkilis, Big "I get away with taking roids" Papi, and Jonathan freaking Papelbon.....but I think I hate this 2013 version the most.  Go Cards.

And the Bosox are starting to look like they're going to fulfill a "destiny" so to speak. I'm not a big fan of either team here but I especially have some kind of dislike for the Cards AND I'm an AL HOMER, so, GO SOX!!! LOLOLOL!!!
