Sports Illustrated All-Decade Team Lg. - FULL Topic

Alright gents, I've attempted to run this league a few times in the past, but that was back when we needed 24 to fill up a league.  I recognize that's a lofty number by today's standards unless we get some guys who pick two teams, but we can shoot for 16.  I'll even settle for 12 if need be, I'd just love to see this league get underway.

Basic Concept:
Sports Illustrated has come out with it's All-Decade Team for each decade since 1920, and even one for pre-1920's.  What we're going to do is pick either the American or National League, and you build your roster off the players listed.  Now, since they only list one or two pitchers, you will simply fill out your roster from players of that decade and that respective league.  Same goes for bench guys.  Important to note, IF THE PLAYER IS LISTED, HE MUST BE ON YOUR ROSTER.  Also, in the spirit of the idea, actually pick him to be your starting position player and not just some cheap season.

-100 mil. (may switch to 110 if y'all feel like there's not enough pitching)
-NO AAA, WW or Trades
-YES to DH
-40 games live for playoffs, although more is definitely encouraged
-Stadium to be one that was in use during your era, also, has to be from your league.  Ex: 1990's American League cannot use Coors Field
-Team Names: something involving your decade and league
-No team can be picked more than twice.  Ex: 1920's American League can be selected twice, but not a third.
-Player must be from league in specific decade. Ex: Roy Halladay of the 2000's has to be from Toronto, not Philadelphia.

MLB107408

Alignment may or may not become random based on how the turnout comes, but I feel as if that's a minor aspect.  So, select away gents and let's have some fun with this!

Question: Can we draft any season of the listed pitchers? Some of these players, actually had their best seasons before the decade they are listed under.

the cap is going to be 100 or 110
11/1/2013 4:11 PM
I'll take the Pre-20's NL.
11/1/2013 4:28 PM
Pre-20s AL
11/1/2013 4:51 PM
I'll take the 20"s NL

You're going to have to use that specific decade for that player.  Sure, some guys may have been better in the 40's rather than 50's let's say, but still, you have to use the decade you choose.

Thanks for joining up so far guys!  I say the cap stays at 100, kind of keeps the offense flowing nicely.

4 players from Puerto Rico I can not pass on that one 1990 AL

I'm going to go with the 30's NL instead of the 20's.
sorry for posting earlier with that other user Id.

I will take the 1980 NL. I think a 100 million payroll is perfect also.

Last thing I need right now is another league, but you've joined my leagues back when I had time to found them, so I'll give you a hand.  1920s AL looks unstoppable offensively, though of course they won't be able to pitch.

I like 1950's American League
