Question regarding Round #5:  What happens with franchises which played in both leagues (ex. Brewers played in the AL until 1993 then switched to the NL).  Are they available for both leagues as a valid selection?  What happens if you take the Brewers from 1988 to 1997 when they played in both?

Well, I'm pretty sure your question is just an example but just in case it wasn't - the Brewers were A.L. through 1997.  Anyway, I'd have to give it some more thought but my initial reaction would be to put the team in whichever league most of the years were played in (i.e., 1991-2000 Brewers would be A.L. since seven of the ten seasons were played in the A.L.).  I'll think about it some more though...

Yeah my mistake, I just saw they switched from the AL East in 93 and didn't read it closely enough to see they moved to the AL Central for only 4 seasons before moving to the NL Central in 97.

Anyhow, how I would read your initial reaction as that if I'm making my NL selection, I would be only allowed to select the Brewers starting in 1992 and later then.   Earlier starting seasons would not be permitted since I would be making a NL selection and not an AL one (assuming I was in league #1).

Actually, if you wanted to make it an N.L. selection, the earliest you would be able to choose would be 1993.  That way, you'd have at least five years of N.L. action (1998-2002).  1992-1997 would be six years of A.L. action.

I'd suggest listing out the available years for each league and the franchises available so people like me don't keep getting confused

ROUND SIX

What we've got here are six of the most storied franchises in Major League Baseball since 1903.  Starting in 1903 and breaking it up into 28-year periods, there will be four choices for each of the six franchises listed.  The Cardinals, Dodger and Giants were pretty easy choices for the National League.  After the Yankees and Red Sox, I had to choose between the Athletics, Indians and Tigers for the third choice.  I went with the Tigers because they were the only franchise that I felt could field a competitive team from all four time-periods.

The draft order is determined by your W/L record in the previous round of the tournament.  The draft is pretty simple:  when it's your turn, you simply choose which 28-year time-frame (that's still available) from which franchise that you want..

ROSTER-BUILDING GUIDELINES:  You can't have any two players from the same year.  With 28 seasons to choose from, it shouldn't be too difficult to select players from 25 different seasons.

Here are some other items of interest:

NO: Clones – Not In This Round.
NO: Player Trades, Waiver Wire or A.A.A.
NO: Designated Hitter
NO: Injuries – They’ll Be Turned Off.
You may use either full or partial players seasons in this round.

CAP –$110

Stadium – For this round, we’re going to go with an even playing field - WHATIFSPORTS Park for Everyone!

The League will be set up like this:
