SEASON 67 PREVIEW
11/30/2013 5:52 PM
CONFERENCE PREDICTIONS

EAST
1) Kentucky - are the wildcats ready to win the east?
2) S.Carolina - was tough last season and should be tougher this season.
3) Florida - only return one proven scorer and will be young.
4) Georgia - beat vanderbilt twice last season and return everyone.
5) Vanderbilt - can this upperclassmen team regroup? scoring shouldn't be a huge issue.
6) Tennessee - the vols can finish higher but we have to wait and see.

WEST
1) LSU - more talent will replace the departures
2) Miss.St - will be second best as usual
3) Auburn - very solid team and could compete for second
4) Alabama - will be tougher than last season. So will the other West teams
5)) Ole Miss - still getting the foundation stronger but don't be surprise to see them finish above last place.
6) Arkansas - drama between coach and players could hurt the razorbacks.

I am using this as motivation. Team IQ should be high and only have one freshman to break in. May even redshirt him.
12/12/2013 2:28 PM
In fact, after further review I think 3rd is a strong possibility with an outside chance at 2nd. Will be pretty tough to beat out Kentucky.

FLORIDA GATORS

Season 66: 27-4, 14-2 Conference (1st)
Banners: Conference Champions
Post Season: NT (Sweet 16)
Coach: vamrbball 51-10 @ Florida (2nd Season) 722-361 Overall (D1)

Season 66 was a very special season for the #6 Florida Gators and fans because the team finally made it back to the sweet 16 and finished with the most wins in team history. The core of the team will be lost to graduation, including the SEC POY (PF) Matthew Porter and fellow 1st team (PG) Justin Haines.

Season 67 Preview

Key Losses: (PF) Matthew Porter (13.1pts 7.5reb), (PG) Justin Haines (12.5pts 4.6ast), (C) Michael Mangum (9.5pts 6.7reb), (PF) Angel Gutierrez (8.1pts), (SF) William Lee (6.6pts)

Newcomers: (C) Warren Williams, (F) Timothy Rolston, (G) Oleg Zdenek, (G) Derek Valentine -Redshirt

Backcourt: Senior (SG) George Lacefield (12.7pts) will be the only proven scorer returning this season. SR (PG) Floyd Hodge will be the new starting point guard, for now. Freshmen (G) Oleg Zdenek (who will be very similar to Lacefield) will be used in the small forward position. JR guard Earl Stephens will be another key to this years team and he will come off the bench but don't be surprise to see him in the starting lineup.

Frontcourt: JR (PF) Earnest Henderson will have more minutes to prove himself this season beside the hype Freshman (C) Warren Williams. JR (SG) Frankie "Magnet" Lampkin will still have his same role as backup small forward. First year players (F) Stuart Grothe and (F) Timothy Rolston will be the last two backups for the interior.

Who to watch:(SR) George Lacefield is the team leader, top scoring option and will be the deciding factor of how many games the young Gators will win during season 67.

Season Goal: This will be a very young team and expectations will be low but coach vamrbball will always shoot for a Conference Championship and NT Bid.

Vanderbilt Commodores

Season 66: 13-14 (for the third year in a row)

To say that coach UWRJL93 is on the hot seat this season is being nice. His job has been in jeopardy for the past few seasons and for some reason he keeps holding on to his job. In 9 seasons Vandy has one appearance in the post season and that was the PIT. He will need to rely on the following 3 players to avoid having to hire a Nashville realtor to sell his home.

C: Wallace Owen, averaged 8.8 points and 6.4 rebounds as a junior.
PG: Wesley Coleman, averaged 10.6 points and 3.7 assists as a junior
PF: Yo Chiang, averaged 12.8 points and 4.7 rebounds as a junior.

With only one Freshmen on the team the Commodores expect to make it to the post season for only the second time in UWRJL's 10th season. A PIT appearance shouldn't be hard, but the Nashville faithful have hopes of a big dance appearance for the first time in a long time.

GEORGIA BULLDOGS

Coach manderson young squad is a year older and will have the ability to get more wins and have a shot at making the post season. The biggest conference victory was the two wins over Vanderbilt (who was better than their record) during season 65. The Bulldogs will be looking to shock the eastern division of the SEC during season 67.
