Welcome to the forty-fourth edition of Exclusive Ownership!

First, the basics: cap TBD for each owner (range is 85-110M, see details below), no AAA, no WW, no DH, SimLeague Live next series only, no clones, no trades, no injuries, and 24 teams.

Alignment for this season will be as follows: Teams will be aligned from highest payrolls in the NL East, running down to the lowest payrolls in the AL West. Ties, if any, between teams with same cap, but landing in different divisions, will be broken by final total payroll.

First, sitemail the park you would like to play in. Ballparks with differing names are considered the same if it is the same physical structure, such as Pacific Bell and SBC. Thus, if one owner submits Pac Bell and another submits SBC, then PacBell/SBC/AT&T is blacklisted.

After the parks are done, each owner submits their first roster. The cap for round one is 85 million. When sitemailing, send everything including the draft recap at the top (to confirm your total salary)*. After all 24 rosters are in, they are processed as follows:

(1) any player claimed by multiple teams is blacklisted

(2) any player claimed by only one owner becomes Exclusive property of that owner, and MUST be on all subsequent rosters. However, an owner may change the season of any player they have claimed, while keeping under the cap. And remember, no clones.

In round one the cap for everyone is $85 million. For this edition of Exclusive Ownership, each player you successfully claim in round one earns an additional 1 million to your salary cap. If you claim 10 players, your cap thereafter is 95M. Claim all 25 players in the first round and your cap is 110M. (If you somehow manage that, it’s up to you to figure out how to use that extra cash while retaining the same 25 players.)

After rosters are submitted and processed, you'll each get a list of players you now own; additionally, all owned and blacklisted players and ballparks will be listed in the Theme League forum thread. Then everyone submits a second roster. This continues until everyone has 25 unique players, claimed by no one else anywhere along the way.

Since I will be playing as well, I will send my roster to the first three people who submit rosters before I open them, to keep things on the square. I have already sent my first ballpark attempt to schwarze, a nonparticipating owner.

* To copy and paste roster: Highlight roster, use CTRL+C, open sitemail, use CTRL+V. It will look messy, but that’s OK.

Parks are done. For round one, players in green were claimed and players in red were blacklisted. For round two, players in purple were claimed and players in the orangey/yellow color were blacklisted. In round three, claimed players are in blue and Joey Devine is in brown. But, unless you were the one to claim the player, ALL these players are now off limits to you.
