In all seriousness, I'd like to see the baseball HOF voting process adopt the process the NFL uses by cutting the list down to a select group of finalists, and then voting only on those players.  There is no reason for players like Aaron Sele, Jay Bell, and Jim Deshaies to even appear on a HOF ballot, let alone receive a vote.
I'd like to see them remove the 10 name limit. I don't care if you want to waste a vote on Jay Bell as long as I can vote for the twelve or thirteen guys I think belong.

Anyone who turns in a blank ballot should be removed from voting. Vote for Aaron Sele or someone if you want to protest.

I agree with removing the 10 player voting limit. The ballot is going to get more crowded over the next couple years!

Pedro Gomez of ESPN voted for Jay Bell BTW.

And not for Bagwell or Biggio. He's a ******* dipshit.

With extreme mediocrity all with bloated offensive stats brought on by the steroid/expansion era. Seriously...TEN guys in one HOF class. That's a FAR bigger farce than the current voting procedures.

Clemens
Bonds
Bagwell
Biggio
Maddux
Glavine
PIazza
McGwire
Schilling
Mussina
Thomas
Raines
Martinez
Trammell

That's 14 that I think should get in. Sure, expansion allowed some people to have better stats, but I really think that, as time has gone by, the skill level of an average major leaguer has increased significantly, making it harder and harder to separate great players from their peers. The fact that these guys were able to separate themselves, even with expansion, shows that they deserve to be admitted into the hall.

Put down the PIPE, man. Bags, Biggio, Schilling, Mussina, Raines and Trammell are NOT EVEN CLOSE to HOF-worthy. Yes, they had nice careers, but NONE of them deserve even a SNIFF of the HOF. I've changed my mind on Glavine and MAYBE, Piazza.

Bagwell not close???

He's probably among the top 50 hitters of all time. You don't think the top 50 hitters deserve a sniff of the hall?

I think you're the one on crack.

A 15 year career with less than 450 homers, 1500 rbi's and just over 2300 hits does not translate to one of the top 50 hitters of all-time.

Exactly ONE Hall of Famer on that list. Yep, all of those guys were/are very good major-league players with nice careers. But not HALL OF FAME careers.

Pujols isn't a HOFer?

Pujols isn't a HOFer?
Does he have a plaque hanging on the wall?
11/28/2013 3:49 PM
No not yet but he will.
11/28/2013 7:11 PM
So he's not a HOFer right now?
11/28/2013 9:36 PM
Everyone on that list, except Galarraga, has a strong HOF case. You're making it sound like Bagwell is only similar to 1 HOFer (Stargell). You're making a better case for the argument that if player A is in the HOF than player B should be as well.

After Thomas is elected in January, then he is similar to 2 HOFers!
