2014 BBWAA HOF ballot released today. Topic

Forgive me for asking, but where in the rules does it say I have to have evidence to back up suspicions of PED usage, and that I have to vote for somebody if no such evidence has yet to be uncovered?

Nowhere.

But most people like to have some sort of connection to reality when they form an opinion. I guess you don't.

My picks

Greg Maddux
Edgar Martinez
Barry Bonds
Roger Clemens
Joe Jackson
Pete Rose
Johnny Bench (first player to be elected twice, he was that good)

It's funny to see you talking about having "a connection to reality" when it comes to opinions on baseball.

Tell us more about Kenny Lofton's HOF credentials.

Yeah, it's the same dude.

Anytime.

Here's the link to my last post on Lofton. He's borderline. Definitely not automatic and not a guy I'd vote for this year if I was limited to 10 names. But I'd consider voting for him if there was no limit.

The fact that you think of this as some sort of way to discredit me says a lot about your (lack of) baseball knowledge.

Yeah, it's the same dude.
Wait...you mean to tell me that a professional athlete shouldn't expect to lose muscle mass between his playing days in his early 30's and retirement in his late 30's? ****. Why hasn't anyone mentioned this?

Also the same guy:

So you're showing me a pic of a guy as a teenager and then when he's a grown man and saying "SEE?!?!?!?"

It's ridiculous not to be suspicious of a power hitter who was huge until MLB started making a big deal over 'roids.

Not sure why Frank Thomas is being given a pass either.

He should have bought new shirts when he quit juicing.

You should back up your argument with evidence, biz.

So you're showing me a pic of a guy in his prime and then a pic of an old, retired, no longer working out guy and saying SEEE!?!?!?

Anyway, I don't have an issue with PED.   Good for them.    But you asked "Why suspect Bagwell?"   He was small, he was huge, he was small.   And the huge part was during the steroid era.    And he played with confessed roiders.   That's why.

My 10: (would be more if allowed)

Bagwell
Biggio
Bonds
Clemens
Glavine
Maddux
Mussina
Piazza
Raines
Thomas

Biggio fits that criteria too. Small, big, small. Same team and time as Bagwell.

Have I said I don't suspect Biggio?   Of course not.

You know who I also suspect?  Jeter.   Hurt his shoulder, came back the next year and had a spike in HR totals.   And he seemed insulted when a reporter said "Everybody was doing them."   Not to mention the girly arms.
