NOTICE - Ok, I've put a $11.8M limit on players salary. This will leave 4 starter seasons of Wilt that can be used..'59, 64, 67 & 68'. I think this will resolve the Wilt problem while still making him the #1 salary player. IMO this should balance the league and keep the player rankings of the era intact. I hope everyone is OK with this solution. I've included it in the main post on pg1.

thanks for doing something about wilt but i think this plan is pretty flawed

66-67 is clearly the best wilt...the 2nd best wilt tho? that could be up for debate..but others and myself would say that its 67-68...the 11.8 limit doesnt really make sense if the 2nd best wilt is still available

I disagree for this reason..I want Wilt to still be Wilt, hands down a giant loose on the court. btw - we have an assortment of "wannabe giant killers" to select from. That and the ABBA draft should balance the league pretty well. Lastly it's the 50/60's era the wilt team is the odds on favorite. What happened IRL again....?

ok but if you want wilt to be wilt then why the 11.8 cap? why not just no 66-67?

True story - I'm playing the murph in an OL he had his 2 ship wilt team, I had my 'big bump/def" wakjob. I made murph cry for 8 then bounced his butt in 5 in the second round..even gave him the 'bye'. No hat trick for the murph!  Gin said "if you don't like it..all you have to do is beat him".

simple said, half the owners in this league can crush us all with the '66' wilt, and the other half are still too dangerous. true I'm watering wilt down as I believe that is the consensus. I think that's 5 off-limits seasons, a few of which I'd love to have. When only cmac sm'd me, I intially said I wanted to do nothing about Wilt. So this seems a good way to go. Should be fun.

Owners say Russell is underated on sparky, I'm not sure and want to see in this league. Russell was a key piece to Red's puzzle, Wilt was the Lakers, they're different. I want to see if Russell defends Wilt well in this league. I hope Russell gets a good team built around him. I wonder if you can replicate the Celtics stats, will it perform well in the DDL. hmmm???

imo the '67' wilt is classic poison, 5.1 to/g, 38ft%, on a 932 draw rate and a 20.2%use. Ummmm..NO, not on my team. Great floor game and boards though. GL (snick)
