And your team sucks!!
Ummm, I'm a Patriots guy.  Last time I checked they have 13 straight winning seasons.

^^^agreed. I only am confident on games when vegas is involved. And in this circumstance, the bears are covering 3 points for SURE. So if they are covering 3, I like their odds at winning
Hey Tyson,

"...the bears are covering 3 points for SURE."

Yeah, not so much.

And let's be clear, the only reason the Bears kept it as close as they did, was because somehow the Bear coaching staff was able to keep Cutler from making any decisions for himself.  Every pass was huck n pray (copyright Dante Culpepper), all on the 2 power forward receivers.  Well, except for the running game which we knew neither team would be able to stop the other.

I am shocked that Cutler played that entire game without once doing his own thing...never would have believed it if I didn't see it.

As loathe as I am to admit it, as bad as the Packer defense has been (with consideration to all the injuries), I think the Bears would have beat them with McCown.

The problem was the Bears defense.  Year after year, the Bears have been passive about upgrading their defense.  The players who they expected to lead the D this year were in their prime about 6 years ago.  Most of them got injured (go figure!).  So they were left with a bunch of DL who couldn't pressure the quarterback and LB's and DB's who were slow in coverage.  Worst of all, their defensive coordinator didn't stress the 2 most important aspects of defense...communication and tackling.  I've never seen more blown coverages or worse tackling by an NFL team.  That and he consistently got out-coached in big situations (three 4th downs converted by the Packers on that final drive) throughout the entire season.

Who cares about the Bears?  It's all about the EAGLES.

Actually the five yard td to Marshall was a designed run/pass option at the line. Jay said he wasn't sure of the packers d so he kept run in, but when he snapped it he saw it was a send the house blitz. He pulled the handoff back and threw it to Marshall.

And I have never been so sure of anything in my life that the bears would LOSE had McCown been in at qb. No chance. I can't wait to hear radio in Chicago today calling for Jay's head. Vomit.

You really cannot put all the blame on Cutler for this loss. The Bears had the worst run defense in football (statistically anyway). Marshall dropped a pass which hit him in the hands and which would have let the Bears run something other than a Hail Mary. In the interest of full disclosure, I graduated from Vandy, and Cutler is the first Vandy QB to make the NFL since .....??????? I am not a big fan of him though. He makes being an arrogant self centered narcissistic underachieving jerk look like a bad thing LOL

I didn't like sending the house on fourth and long. Yes, you have to pressure Rodgers or he will hurt you, but it's fourth and long. You have Peppers, and you can send one other guy. Maybe two. Also, how do you not have some deep coverage on fourth and long? You can give up the short pass in that spot. Rush five, keep 2-3 deep and have the others in medium coverage. With the play call the Bears had, they guaranteed that someone would be open deep if Rodgers was not sacked within four seconds. Yes, I was surprised to see the Packers handle the blitz that well, but I cannot agree with no deep safeties in that situation.

This is from someone who DETESTS the Prevent "You From Winning" defense unless you are up at least two TDs with no more than a minute or two left.

Fly, Eagles, Fly!!! After having really high hopes and having them dashed the past two seasons, my high expectations (yes, I expected them to make the playoffs, but I'm a homer all the way) finally paid off. I just hope that the Saints' road woes rear their ugly head on Saturday.

Conte thought they were in man, but they were in zone. Which is....ridiculous.

Clearly, it's because Gryffindor and Slytherin are cheating.
