I'd rather have Curt Schilling pitching in a big game.
It's not Halladay's fault the Jays never actually got him to those games, so unfortunately he has no track record. But still, I'd have taken him over Schilling and many others in a "must-win" game.

Halladay did manage to get in 5 playoff games with the Phillies.  One of those games he threw a no-hitter (only the second no-no in MLB post-season history), and overall he went 3-2 with a 2.37 ERA and a 0.74 WHIP.  It's not bloody sock-worthy, but he definitely pitched well when it mattered.

I'm from Toronto, I'm a Blue Jays fan, I do believe Roy Halladay was the most dominant pitcher of his "era", I consider myself fairly intelligent and capable of unbiased consideration of all baseball players/teams regardless of location ... all that being said I still voted that Doc does NOT merit HOF induction.  Although he was the most dominant pitcher of his "era" that "era" wasn't long enough to be among the "Best of All Time" which is what the HOF should be.
To me, Doc is a classic "feel vs. stats" guy. I think his numbers are borderline and could be considered HOF worthy, but having watched him pitch for so long, he sure as hell feels like a HOFer.
He doesn't feel like one for me. (not that that's a good argument) Why are you watching so many more Halladay starts than me?
I live in Ontario. Lot of Blue Jay games
I guess I assumed Baltimore/DC area.

You're right.  Sutton led the league in ERA once at least, and 4 times in WHIP.  Glavine never led the league in any rate stat.

Glavine was a better pitcher than Sutton. Sutton had a few great years but also had a whole bunch of average years.
