Jeff Bagwell is correct. One more to go!

Or what about the Eddie Stanky season with the .460 OBP?

Dimaggio - 1937 - 284 - 355th all-time. Was even beaten by Dom in 1948, with 288.

Edgar - 1997 - 309 & Trout 2013 - 309 tied for 89th all-time.

Woody English was the insanely hard one. If you got that for reals, props to you.

In 1930, Woody English got on base 320 times, good for a tie for 38th all-time.

So we have Foxx, Jeter, and English. 2 more, and we haven't said who's on there twice. Let's get all of them first so it's not just random guessing as to who is twice.

Bill James mentioned it in his Historical Abstract that he had one ridiculous season and I've used that season a couple times in leagues. I was guessing that it was a. that good, and b. right handed. I didn't look it up today, I promise. Lucky guess.

That's the Eddie Stanky 1950 season. 314 times on base, good for 64th all-time.

Excellent work, sir!

I don't think the old guys played enough games

Hint #2: This is a famous season in baseball history.

Hack

Hack Wilson 1930 - 314 - 64th all-time

A more famous season.

If you think there is a much more famous season than that from a right hander you are too young to have adequate context to be giving hints.
12/9/2013 3:59 PM
When you get the answer, you will understand. More famous.
12/9/2013 4:00 PM
Gotta be Big Mac then.  But I don't think that's really more famous amongst people with a long historical context.  But he did have like a .470 OBP.
12/9/2013 4:00 PM
Only one of the two is still a record.  And it's not the one you think is more famous.
