Lewis beat S. Arkansas and yet I lost to S. Arkansas by 20 at home and beat Lewis by 18 on the road. Its been a crazy tournament for my team.

bvb, it's just been a crazy tournament period.  You beat me by 8, I lose to Pace by 2 and then beat a Livingstone team that had been on an absolute roll.

our last 4 games have been completely all over the map. Agreed, crazy tournament.

If Queens beats Livingstone tonight, they will be Bidwell Bash champs.  If Queens loses, we are going to have one very complicated tiebreaker on our hands...

Standings
Queens U (NC) 3-1
Livingstone 2-2
Pace 2-2
S. Arkansas 2-2
Lewis 2-2
CSU, Chico 1-3

Round Four Results
Lewis 56, CSU Chico 53
LU: P Williams 12 pts/5 asts (POTG), T Mayer 13 pts
CSUC: V Rodrigue 18 pts/4 asts, J Turner 12 pts
Game notes: Slow and ugly doesn't even beging to describe this game, but its close.  Lewis' -5 defense shut down the Wildcats interior game, and only Vernon Rodgrigue could get much going from the outside, so Chico shot just 42.9% from the field.  Lewis mangaed a more respectible 45.7% from the field, but just 29.4% (5-for-17) from 3.  Chico held a 50-46 lead with 7:59 to go and then promptly forgot how to score, managing just 3 points the rest of the way in the loss.

S. Arkansas 71, Livingstone 58
SAU: G Seegmiller 18 pts/5 asts, M Hereford 10 pts/5 asts/4 stls, A Sharpe 10 pts
LIV: B Ambler 13 pts, D Dumas 12 pts, E Lassiter 10 pts, G Hayes 7 asts
Game notes: This game was a tale of 2 halves.  The first half ended in an ugly 23-21 near dead-heat, with S. Arkansas leading despite 29.2% shooting from the floor thanks to an equally as inept 32.0% from Livingstone.  In the second half, SAU caught fire, shooting 58.5% from the floor while holding Livingstone to 41.4% to protect its home floor and win.

Queens U NC 84, Pace 73
QUNC: Ja Terry 17 pts/9 rebs (POTG), B Hughes 19 pts, E Gardner 10 pts
PU: B Dawson 16 pts, P Helm 16 pts
Game notes: Queens U held free throw shooting practice while Pace watched, connecting on 30 of 36 attempts in this 11-point win.  The Royals opened up a 15-point halftime lead behind strong defense and a balanced scoring effort, and then cruised through a more competitive second half to notch the win and get within a game of their first Bidwell Bash title.  James Terry made another strong case for Tournament MVP honors with his 17 point, 9 rebound effort.

Round Five Results
S. Arkansas 73, CSU Chico 47
SAU: M Hunter 13 pts/8 rebs (POTG), M Hereford 13 pts, G Seegmiller 12 pts, G Jefferson 9 pts/12 rebs
CSUC: V Mead 16 pts, V Rodrigue 12 pts
Game notes: This game was all SAU Muleriders.  Despite being at home, Chico couldn't throw the ball in the ocean from the beach thanks to a stiffline Mulerider defense.  SAU got a balanced scoring effort from Michael Hunter, Mikey Hereford and Gary Seegmiller, adn Gene Jefferson chipped in 9 points and 12 boards off the bench in the win.

Pace 58, Lewis 56
PU: B Dawson 13 pts (POTG), B Bledsoe 13 pts
LU: P Williams 18 pts, T Mayer 14 pts, J Steward 11 rebs
Game notes: Pace trailed 56-48 with 3 minutes left in this game and then went on an amazing 10-0 run over the final 3 minutes to win the game, capped off by a Preston Helm layup as time expired after Lewis turned the ball over in the backcourt following a Bradley Bledsoe 3-pointer that tied the game up with 8 seconds to play.  Player of the game Benjamin Dawson hit 2 key shots down the stretch to help his team pull off the late comeback.

Queens U NC 67, Livingstone 62
QUNC: Ja Terry 20 pts (POTG), A Reese 13 pts, B Hughes 12 pts
LIV: D Dumas 11 pts
Game notes: Queens raced out to a 40-25 halftime lead, and then held on late for the 5-point win to seal their first Bidwell Bash title.  Livingstone came back strong in the second half and closed the game to as close as 2 points multiple times, but the Royals and Jame Terry wouldn't be denied the championship trophy.  Terry scored 5 of his game-high 20 points in the final 3 minutes to help his team hold on for the win.
